Plan to Cheat...

So Saturday is my 25th birthday, and I already know it's in my big plans to have a few drinks past my general saved up calories for 2 glasses of wine. I normally stay within my 1500 calorie limit, even when I drink. I don't want to go too overboard with food and everything the same day though. Have any of you planned out a cheat day for drinks before? Any tips? Think I should try to stay in any sort of calorie limit in particular? Think this is a terrible idea? Thanks!

I just recently had a cheat day on V-Day. Let me just say that it turned into a cheat weekend and I gained two pounds. :( I'm back on track now, but the couple of days afterwards was bad. But I have, like, zero willpower. lol.

But it's your birthday so I don't think it'd be terrible to go out and eat. Maybe have something sweet. ;)

I calorie cycle so I can plan for heavier days (like on Wednesdays I do trivia and have wings and beer for dinner). But I say plan out the "cheat" (i.e. tonight I gave myself 5 wings and 4 7oz glasses of beer) and try to stick to it as best you can (after a light lunch after the 2nd beer I think I counted correctly, but honestly, if I ate an extra wing I wouldn't be surprised).

Maybe give yourself an extra 100 calories for the day and have a good time. :)

Happy Birthday when it comes!

i think saving up some calories for a treat is a great idea - and it's NOT a cheat, it's sensible planning, shows you're in control!

As long as you are staying within your calorie range and know when to stop then go ahead :)

For my birthday I planned for cake & a cheat meal so it was alright :D

i don't specifically PLAN for cheat days but i do usually know when i'm going to go out to the bar or something and i do always keep it under control. i don't kill myself counting calories but i make good choices while i'm out. and i definitely eat lighter the rest of the day if i know that far in advance- all veggies, fruits, and a little cheese or meat. i don't usually eat a lot of carbs if any, and they'll be whole grain.

just keep it smart and enjoy your birthday!

Yay for birthdays! Make it good :) And don't feel guilty!

When I go out for drinks, I do an extra hard work out, and I pretty much just skip dinner. Or I'll have something really small.

So I was good with calories all day, and then I only ate half of my restaurant dinner. I definitely went overboard with the drinks, but I expected to, so I'm not suprised/disappointed. And Sunday, I was so hungover, I barely ate, so it probably balanced out.

The best part was, I fit into a slinky dress from college! And I looked damn good, if I do say so myself!

Thanks for the advice girls! I do have to say, 25 wasn't nearly as fun of a birthday as the ones before...

YAYYY! way to party it up!! going a little overboard on the drinks is way more fun than going a little overboard on the food anyway in my opinion ;)

glad you had a good time!!

I have a slight cheat day every week! Either Saturday or Sunday I have a takeaway and a glass of wine but I try not to go overboard during the day. If I didn't treat myself I'd go mad, especially as my bf can eat whatever he wants, and regularly does!
