weekends are not going well for me

so, this weekend did not go so well. i ate op on sat. but did not exercize. then sunday i didnt't really eat anything at all, and did not exercize. and today i pretty much binged. i hate this feeling of guilt and i'm pretty mad at myself. i hate how i feel when i overeat. so, i'm about to go hit the treadmill and finish the week strong. but i definitely need to do something about these weekends b/c this happened last weekend too. :dizzy:

that's a good attitude to hit the treadmill! it's not over, bad days don't kill your diet unless you let them! and depending on how really bad the weekends are, you could consider it calorie cycling lol

Do you think maybe you binged today because you didn't eat enough Sunday?

macky 02-16-2009 09:44 PM

ugh weekends are a killer!!! i've been trapped in the thinking that if i behave all week i can binge on the weekends with no ramifications, but that's probably why i'm not doing as well as i would like!

good for you for going to the gym today even if the rest of the weekend was a bust... you can't change what's already happened but you can definitely work out to make up for it!!

weekends are my downfalls.
my bf is home from work, and he is skinny so he doesn't have to diet or workout, but he does for my sake, but its hard for me as well.
And Im pretty sure that its hard for many people.

I have the same problem with weekends. Maybe we need to distract ourselves with other things?

I had been doing well all month, but did really bad this weekend. :( I think the thing about weekends is, once you fall, you plan to get back on Monday--days later--rather than the next day. I "fell" on Friday night and all day Saturday. I didn't do too bad yesterday and today, but still feel heavy. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day. I'm not looking forward to it. It irks me that I work so hard then blow it.

Anyway, I can relate. Let's promise ourselves to get back on track!

Yes someone needs to share secrets...any secrets for how to manage weekends. My biggest issue with Friday and Saturday particularly is that I want to relax, I have worked hard all week and I just want to shut my brain off and not worry about anything. And if your friends, husband, whatever suggests that you go out for dinner, what are you going to say? No I can't I am dieting, I need to stay home? I can't do that!

that's just what i was going to say! I find on days when i don't eat much at all i always eat too much the next day. so now i try and eat whatever i'm doing.

*raises hand* i do it too! the only tip i have that sometimes works for me is to keep really busy! a lot of fridays i go out with my best friend so we hang out all day. i eat a good breakfast and then we just go run around about noon. we'll go shop, grab some sushi for lunch, shop the rest of the afternoon, usually eat a good healthy snack or light dinner and we spend a lot of time trying on clothes we bought and/or doing hair/makeup to go out. i'm usually way under cals because we're go go going and we don't eat bar food so when i have a few drinks it balances out.

actually, now that i think about it- fridays that i go to the bar are often some of my lowest cal, fun, and carefree days! haha
