I feel like a failure!

So for Valentine's day I asked my boyfriend if he could get me the Juillian Michael's 30 Day shred, and he did and I was super thrilled to start using it because I've seen other girls on here that have had success with it.

well today was my first day with it, and I didn't even finish! I had to stop a few times because I Could not breathe! (I have trouble breathing sometimes when I work out too much, or when I get really upset) and then I was doing some of the motified versions.

:sigh: Im going to keep at it, because I WANT to lose weight. Its just hard when I couldn't even finish it
.:(

Hey! Don't get down about it! There's girls that exercise daily and have trouble with it. BELIEVE ME, it is a hard workout. I bought it in November and had a hard time doing it. I wanted to do it again, and I was sore for THREE DAYS and didn't finish the last circuit. So you're not alone!

I started 30 ds last week, and finished up day 3 saturday of level 1, truthfully it was the first time I didn't have to pause the DVD player mid way through to make sure I wasn't going to pass out. Every little bit helps, and each time you can make it a little further. I'll probably be doing level 1 fifteen times instead of the 10 some people can do before going to level 2. I just am currently not at the fitness level. But I'm getting better and I've got faith that if you stick with it, you'll get there too.

If you keep at it even with pauses in between it is better than not trying!

Kepp up the good work!!!

When I first started doing her work outs, I was DYING. I couldn't finish any of the sets without having to stop. Its a hard work out.

I remember when I was able to do just the jumping jacks for the full 30 seconds without having to stop - I was so proud of myself!

Keep doing it - it does get better!

It'll get better as you go. When you do your first round, you're not expected to do the entire thing. Stay strong and keep us updated.

definitely stay up and keep trying. bc when you start each new level, you'll feel this same way again. so dont let it get you down!!! :)

Hey asking for and receiving it was the first step! The first workout tape that I did I just walked to the beat through half of it! Just keep at it it will get easier! Also have you tried any of the dance workout tapes?? Those are so much fun that even if I am dying I want to keep going!! I love the dirty dancing one but it is insanely fast and the steps are difficult it is fun to move to the music!
Keep up the good work!:cheer:

I thought I was in really good shape when I started 30DS. I can run a 5k, I spent hours on my elliptical and I had been lifting before and it still licked my butt! But keep with it, this DVD has changed my body more than any other I have done. It will get easier!

It's kindof funny that I just now signed on to 3FC tonight to check the forums, after literally just now finishing an extremely frustrating session with 30 DS, and I clicked on this post first!

I am doing Week One right now, and I am with you....it is soooo TOUGH! It does get better though. I did Week One for 5 days two weeks ago, but then got off plan for a week and didn't work out at all. Back then by day 4 I could tell I was able to do a bit more than when I started. So now I am getting back into it. Tonight it just kicked my butt. I was not enjoying it, I didn't want to do it, I was pretty much whining in my head the whole time. And then at the very end, my cat tried to squeeze in behind the TV and unplugged it!!! At the very end!! I was so mad and frustrated in that moment that I laid there on my livingroom floor (it was the last set of crunches I was on) and literally screamed. Then I got up, plugged it back in, and finished the crunches. I don't feel great tonight after the workout like I usually do...I just wasn't feeling it. But I know it gets better, and we have to keep on trying even when we are HATING it.

Hang in there, I have heard great things about 30 DS and I really think that if we keep up with it, it will make a big difference. Keep it up!! :)

Oh hun...

Dear, I made it through Army Drill Sergeant School. I run 40 miles a week. After the first night of doing the Shred I woke up and could barely even move! That first week I was so sore I could hardly walk.

I'm pretty hardcore, but Jillian is my nightmare. LoL. Don't feel bad, that woman is some sort of bio-engineered physical torture machine.

You'll notice it slowly begin to get easier, get some confidence ... then you'll move up a level and hate life again. LoL. You can do it! Just don't give up.
