I don't think it's a disaster waiting to happen. Even if you don't hit goal when you think you will, the outfit will still be waiting for you.

I love this thread. I love seeing ideas for beautiful dresses that I want to make once I reach goal. I have tons of fabric and no ideas of what designs to use it on. I can't afford to buy new clothes, but I can sure make them. And the OP's dress is my style...flowing feminine dresses that aren't too fru fru. I like the bohemian look.

It seems to work when it feels like it. Here is the dress. :D My goal really is to lose fat for pregnancy. I would love to be hot and all but eh, maybe later.

Oh I like that wrap dress from Victoria's Secret too! I think it could look good at many sizes, though I can't help but think it will look nice on a BUSTY gal. My boobs are already shrinking and will be little fried eggs by the time I reach goal.

I think my biggest rite-of-passage in this area will be to wear something sleeveless. I haven't worn anything sleeveless since I was in the third grade or so. All my weight went straight to my upper arms first, before being distributed everywhere else, and I cannot stand the sight of my hugely fat arms in tank tops. I look forward to not feeling uncomfortable about bare arms. I was almost ok with it when I weighed 175 in college, and I can guess that being a more confident woman now that I'm older, I won't have any problem wearing tanks tops when I hit that weight again.

believe it or not, this will sound ridiculous, but a few times i used duct tape. on my bare skin. it was horrible. the adhesive caused some sort of chemical burn and blistered my skin. at least my breasts looked really nice in that dress. :o

My goal outfit will be a dress for my 21st. I really want one of these!

Other then that I want something that I don't have to cover my arms in. And short skirts!

More than what I want to wear, it's how I want to feel when I wear it. I want to wear this cute lingerie outfit I bought and feel super sexy in it! That's my goal with the outfit!

I really just wanna be able to wear low rise rease. Really low. But I want them to look good with no muffin tops. I'm getting kinda old to be shopping in the JR's section but if I can look hot in low rise jeans... I'm there!!

Here is my Goal Outfit! I can't wait to wear it, I plan on wearing this to Florida in July. I make my last credit card payment on 4/24/2009, so I'm thinking on the next couple pay checks I will buy it! :D Can't Wait!

I've never been a real girly girl so I could care less about a dress, but I would love to be able to wear a pair of shorts with a tight tank and FEEL good about my self while wearing it. I never had confidence before when I was skinny but let me tell you, if I ever get there again....there will be no shame!
