I been laid off for a while. Go into the EDD in your area right away and meet with a counslor so they can give you extra tools/info on your job search. Go when they open so you won't have to wait all day. Good luck in your search.

oh no heather! i will be praying for you. i agree with the person above that God closes doors to open new ones. i got laid off in december and it seemed horrible at first but in the end it was a true blessing. take some you time and dont let it get you too down you will bounce back. love u and let me know if u need me

That's awful! I'm so sorry to hear you got laid off. I've been laid off before, and honestly, here's what i did. (well the night of i went out with friends and got drunk) but other than that, my colleague at the time in accounting, printed me off a bunch of job ads and it's the best thing that ever happened to me. I got a new job in a field that was completely different. Two years later, i still love it and the people I've met along the way have meant more to me than anyone i'd met in my previous job. It's almost like I started a new life lol. I know that sounds stupid, but chin up, we'll be here for you if you need us!

Hey good luck on the job hunt! You can make it - just keep your chin up and believe in your dream job/dream man. Maybe your HLM will be available in the spring, maybe? And don't forget to exercise daily - it will help keep your stress down! Love, Renee

I'm so sorry to hear this! Like many others, I too got laid off (three years ago). Now, I'm so glad it happened, because I am so happy with where I am in my life.

You'll bounce back, but it's just crappy that it happened. :(
