Water Weight.
Ok so I just heard somewhere that when your muscles are stiff and sore after a work out, that this means your muscles are repairing themselves and retaining water that will in turn make you weigh more, does anyone know if this is true? I know the general process for muscle building but never thought being 'sore' would actually show on a scale?!

yeah...almost all 'sore' feelings are a result of swelling...your muscles swell when you work them, water and lactic acid. It is in their process of repairing, and growing. I have heard some attentive weight lifters here say that they can predict when they are going to "peak" after a lifting session.

Thats interesting......I dont like water weight, darnet!!

Yup.. when you work those muscles they can get little tears which hold water. When I take a workout break I can always expect to gain a couple of pounds when I start my routine again. It will pass :)
