I never knew ( or accepted) that there are other ways to measure progress besides the scale, and that thin and healthy don't always go hand in hand.

I never knew how much I enjoy cooking now that I do it more, and that it allows me to control my food.

I never knew I would be able to turn down subway subs, subway cookies and dunkin' donuts in one day...on a day when I was extremely ravenous...
some things are just more important, I guess

I didn't realize that me,myself and I had complete control over losing this weight..and exactly what I eat.

I also didnt know what a "high" exercise could give one person...It makes you feel alive and revitalized..its addictive...the more I do the more I want (I guess because aqua aerobics, kickboxing and Zumba are so much fun!)..My bf just thinks i've become obsessed..lol.

I never realized how tiny my frame was, I always used to consider myself "big boned". I also never knew I could push myself to train for a marathon

I heard this from the time I was a child. "ohhh, you're just big boned like your dad"

WRONG.

I have teeny tiny wrists. I'm just under 5'7 and have a 4.5 ring size. I have wide-set hips, but I'm about as bony as they come. In fact, my bone structure is exactly like my 5'0 98 pound mother.

I never knew that I had so many frickin' BONES. I mean, I guess had seen medical diagrams of the human skeleton, and logically I knew they were probably in there somewhere, but heck if I had ever seen/felt any of those pointy-looking things in my own fluffy body!! Hehe. It always freaks me out a little now when I touch my body and feel some hard, protruding thing underneath my skin--especially when I can feel the places where they fuse together and everything... It's all so new to me!
