I WISH working out made me lose weight!! I can way more easily motivate myself to work out than to put the cookie down!!

And my friend was running 10 miles to train for a marathon and she didnt lose weight. When she controlled her diet AND worked out, she lost 20lbs.

My cousin who is skinny, GAINED weight when she worked out. Her b/f at the time was a personal trainer and told her if she wanted to lose weight, she'd have to combine her work outs with diet (she ate VERY badly).

Yes, it can be different for everyone, but for the vast majority, it's 80/20, otherwise it'd be 3fatchicksonaworkoutplan.com!!

Yup. I don't know if it's that exercise increases your hunger level or what, but there are a lot of people who GAIN while training for a marathon, and I'm one of them

Diet is about 95% of it for me. I love working out, I could work out all day every day and be completely happy. I'd probably lose some inches, which is important, but I realize that if I want to hit my goal then I need to keep working out AND track what I eat.

Exercise alone is no match for my love of food

When one has over 100 lbs to lose, we're talking about a whole other ball game. Adding in some additional exercise - nuh -uh, just ain't gonna cut it.
I have only about 10-15 to lose and exercise still doesn't cut it. For me, it's more like diet-99%. exercise-1%. Which is not a bad thing since I hate exercise with a fiery passion.
