What to do with my ground turkey breast ??

  • I have this lovely ground turkey breast in my freeze that are just begging to be cooked.

Now - I am not much of a cook so I need ideas please!

I would like to cook it in a crock pot, if possible. I looked through the e-mail Lizzie bee sent me and just couldn't find anything except for chili which didn't excite my fiance.

    Thank you so much -

  • tacos. taco salad. Spaghetti. turkey burgers. Anything you would do with ground beef you can do with turkey. I loooove taco salad.
  • leighish said exactly what I would have. Spaghetti with meatballs sounds good.
  • I made some ground turkey the other day that turned out great. I seasoned it with teriyaki sauce, then boiled brown rice, steamed a frozen bag of stir fry veggies and mixed it all together with a little more teriyaki sauce. yummy!
  • TURKEY BURGERS!! they are sooooo good!
  • I agree with turkey burgers! chop up some onions, peppers and mix it in. I like mine with dijon mustard.
  • I kinda wanted to crock pot it...but turkey burgers sounds REALLY. YUMMY.
  • I actually had spaghetti and turkey meatballs the other night for dinner and it was amazing!! You couldn't even tell that the meatballs were made from turkey. Tacos/taco salad with the ground turkey sounds really good too!!!
  • I made chili with my ground turkey the other day, in my crock pot. Coincidence? I think not. Turned out great! Let me know if you want the recipe.
  • Oops, didn't read the "no-chili" addendum. My apologies.
  • I want to make chili but he doesn't want it. Would you please send me the recipe anyway? I would love to have it!
  • You could try a meatball soup in the crock pot? I dont have a recipe but I am sure you could find one!
  • i do my turkey burgers w/ dijon, salt, pepper, diced onion, a little jalepeno, black beans, little bread crumbs, little egg. You can really throw whatever you want in there. pat into burgers. they come out so moist and yummy, in the pan or on the grill.

turkey meatballs - a little parm cheese, oregano, chopped up garlic, salt and pepper, bread crumbs, egg - use your judgement on the bread crumbs and egg. form into balls and bake in the oven at 350 for like 20 mins depending on the size of them. i usually make my own sauce but use raos sometimes to save me some time. raos sauce is simple and healthy. throw the sauce in a pot w/ the meatballs and let it simmer a little bit to mix the flavors.

and then i also make turkey meat tacos. i would love to do a turkey meatloaf but my boyfriend is picky and doesnt like it.
  • I make a spinach "vegetarian" lasagna. It calls for veggie burger but I honestly cant bring myself to not eat real meat, so turkey is the next best thing for me. I have a recipe but really dont follow it, lol i just follow the general steps. You could make it the night before when you cooking another meal and just leave it in the fridge for the next night.
  • Turkey philly cheese steak!!!

Cook the ground turkey with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Eat it on whole wheat rolls with Kraft Free cheese sprinkled on top.

Just be conscious of the portions of meat on each one. If it's not the white meat turkey it can still have a lot of calories.
