Seriously! How does one read and bounce up and down on a machine at the same time??? I can't even wear my glasses or get my Ipod to the song I want on a regular basis! LOL

...perhaps if I wore my glasses I could see the song I want on the Ipod...but that's a different story...

Landonsbaby I'm sooo envious of your therapy pool! My gym has a small pool for aqua aerobics and a few other classes...that's it! Believe it or not I don't have the nerve to go to the gym on my own....I'm just so afraid of looking like a fool by not knowing how to use some of the equipment...i NEED to stop caring about what others think!

You've lost 85lbs. You should strut in there like you own the place!!! Seriously, I felt the same way at the Ymca. When we decided to get another membership I suggested we try the Healthplex to see if it was different. The first time I walked in there people were SOOO nice to me. I like it a lot better and I actually go by myself. I never went to the Y without my husband. I don't think every gym will fit any person.

As for exercising and reading, I don't get it either. I bounce. I have no idea how people do it. Well, okay, some of them are barely moving at all and so I get that but those who are going all out...I have no idea how they keep their place.

For me to work out as hard as I need to, I *have* to have my ipod and i *need* to play super high-energy music... I tend to bust out my (embarrassing yet effective) radio hip hop playlist and sprint my first mile, then I work at a lesser intensity, but always keeping my HR high for the next 2-2.5 miles, I'm usually done in about 40 mins. If I don't have that audio distraction, companion, support, whatever then I will work at only 2/3 the intensity I need to see results.
