Good (and tasty) snacks

Does anyone have any suggestions for filling, tasty, low-cal snacks? I'm trying to eat more frequently, and need some snack choices. I find that if I don't eat between meals, then I pig out at meal time. Some help would be greatly appreciated! I like it all - salty, sweet, veggies, dairy... What's worked for you between meals?? :snooty::jeno:

Pistachios! :)
Hummus and flat bread
Clementines
Carrot sticks
Dried fruit, like craisins or prunes.

I carry a little tupperware dish filled with carrot sticks, celery sticks, almonds, cashew nuts, cherry tomatoes, sunflower seeds and goji berries, and anything else I have flitting about the house. I take that with me wherever I go and if I feel the need I have a few bites of that.

I love apples too, and I like Kit Kats. Only 107 calories for a two-finger biscuit!

1 fruit (or 2 mini oranges, or 1/2 banana)
3 oz. yogurt
1/2 oz of almonds/pecans/sunflower seeds
1 cup veggies
rice crackers with 1 wedge of laughing cow cheese

My new favorite is Wasa Crackers topped with a bit of peanut butter and half of a banana sprinkled with cinnamon! It has become a new comfort food for me.

I like taking turkey and spreading cream cheese on it, heating it up and then rolling it up with green olives. Very yummy. Weight Watchers brand has individual cream cheese containers that works wonders for this snack. I also eat apples, oranges, or granola bars.

Curves makes these amazing granola bars.....100 calories and 4gms of fibre. My fave is Peanut Chocolate Chip!

I LOVE Greek Yoghurt. The 0% Fayge stuff has no fat, few calories, and lots of protein. I like to microwave a couple frozen strawberries and mix it up in a cup of the stuff. It makes a great filling little snack.

It also works really well with chopped cucumbers, a little lemon juice, and spices.

If you have a little time...scramble some egg whites ( I buy the carton ) put them in a weight watcher wrap with some salsa..so delish..especially w/ peppers. Sometimes I'll make them for the next day and just keep the salsa in a little container to put on when I eat it.
