Between Xmas and New Year
Is anyone else hoping to stay on plan completely over the festive period and not gain any weight at all? Last year I must have gained about half a stone in the two weeks I had off.
This year I am going all out to not eat any rubbish at all.
Christmas day I opted against bisuits and had low calorie bread toasted for breakfast, I had boiled potatoes, boiled swede, boiled sprouts and boiled beans for dinner. I avoided the gravyand the roast potatoes and the stuffing and the sausages wrapped up in bacon. I even avoided the christmas pudding and brandy sauce. At tea time I opted for a salad and avoided the sausage rolls, mince pies, cake, chocolate log and trifle. Further more I avoided all sweets and crisps that mum has purchased!
Boxing day was the same - had satsumas for breakfast, opted for boiled potatoe, beef, boiled carrots and boiled cauliflower for dinner - I avoided pudding, gravy and yorkshire puddings once again. For tea I had salad again and was impressed I managed to avoid all the sweets for a further day!
Yesterday I ate bran flakes for breakfast and a cold meat salad for dinner, I think I over did the boiled potatoes slightly so I compensated with just a weight watchers yoghurt for tea.
Still feel like I am going well, I have had no chocolate, alcohol or sweets at all. Even dry fruit, there has been a bag open in the living room since christmas eve, I have been tempted, but I know if I so much as eat one piece the whole bag will be gone! lol - its my downfall (I understand dry fruit is full of sugar?!)
I am making a pledge. If I get to new years eve without going off plan once I am going to celebrate. I shall have perhaps a piece of christmas cake or some dried fruit. I do plan on making a low fat cheesecake too instead of a trifle. Which do you think?
Is anyone else with me on the pledge - stay on plan til new years eve and then celebrate with one or two treats before starting a fresh in the new year?
