I wrote a paper defending pornography as free speech for a Constitutional Law class in law school. So I also spent some time thumbing through Playboy during my research for the paper -- and was impressed with some of the writing.
Everyone who knows me knows that I am basically in love with Angelina Jolie. But bodywise, I covet pinup types like Bettie Paige.
When I was younger, everyone wanted to be Kate Moss. I wanted to be Marilyn Monroe.
It's doable for me. The classic hourglass shape runs in my family. My mama has it, my aunt has it, along with my older cousin and my little sister. I have it, it's just hidden under this fat!
I haven't got a chance of ever looking like her but I think the Japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki is so gorgeous! I'm a great admirer of her and would one day love to go to a fancy dress party in an outfit that looks like one of her costumes from a concert (though not the one below!!)
With all the porn discussion, I forgot to think of someone whose body I really admire. My choice is pretty boring...I have to second Butterfly's Halle Berry. I won't post another picture of her...cause the one already posted says it all, I think. When I saw her in a bikini in that Bond flick a few years ago, I had a mental "Holy Mother!" moment. She is amazing looking.
Jessica Alba. She is the kind of sexy I'd put on a pedestal. I could never look like her, my boobies are small now and if history repeats itself, will be nearly non-existent once I lose the weight.

it's hating on the objectified woman. the woman that is ogled for her body, pieces of her, like her breasts, ***, legs, etc. the women seen merely for sex. the "ideal" women that look amazing, can cook dinner for a man, open his beer, and provide oral sex simultaneously. the woman that doesn't really exist off the pages of the magazines. the super hot girl with the caption next to her reading "i dont really like when a guy calls after sex, so annoying." or "i love beer and football games" it's all a fantasy.
those are the women i hate, and they don't even exist in real life. i guess i hate the idea of them. but i dont think our men really want them anyway.
case in point, watching tv w bf, when i return from bathroom, HBO is on, some naked fake blonde with fake breasts giving an interview about blow jobs. and i got jealous. of a character on a tv show. later in bed at night, i bring it up, and how i was envious of this girl, and i secretly wished i could look like that, so i could be better for him, etc. and he said "but i love you, i want you. she's just an idea, a stranger, she's no one special."
and it's true. but in the end, i still wanna be that sometimes.
But I cook dinner with only an apron on every night...on my knees with a Samuel Adams in one hand and Sports Illustrated in the other...don't you?

I agree that Playboy is definitely a respectable magazine and I don't exactly consider it porn.....to me, porn is something being acted out or at least something more..explicit. Playboy is very tastefully done (IMO). I have a gf who gets it for her hubby and I ALWAYS look through them when I'm over there. They tease me about it now going "We knew you were coming so we put the Playboys out!" I'm planning to have a breast lift (possibly with implants) someday because I was a natural D BEFORE having babies and went up to a G while pregnant/nursing my 1st. Thankfully, with my 2nd they didn't get quite so ginourmous, but they are sad now. Super saggy and no volume at ALL. My hubby is just the greatest man and always tells me how sexy I am and how much he loves my body and my breasts....but he also agreed that the DAY our last baby weans, I can schedule my lift/implant surgery!! All that to say, I love looking at the girls in Playboy to get ideas for how I want my breasts to look.
I think that women who are secure aren't really threatened by the fakey fake girls. I could be wrong, but I know in my own life, when I was brutally insecure and jealous, I HATED women like that. I loathed them. But it wasn't because of them, it was because of ME! MY insecurities fed that feeling of hatred. How do you hate a total stranger who has never done a thing to you? I'm in a MUCH better place now, and even though I feel a teensy bit insecure at times, overall I'm secure and women don't have the effect on me that they used to.

The one time I went to Hooters, I realized that they it wasn't just big-boobed women in tiny outfits, it was also the full-service treatment! They carry like, 10 beer bottles against their chests, the food is served on what looks like wooden plates, the women pour ketchup on your plate for you, open your wet napkin for you, do everything for you. It's actually kind of trailer trashy! (can I say that without offending someone? )... but it's exactly that fantasy. I'm a guy, I wanna watch my sports, I wanna eat my wings, I want my big-breasted woman to get me a beer and some ketchup and wipe my mouth for me when I'm done! Clearly not all men are like this but it's a fantasy and there is a certain restaurant you can go to make this fantasy come true!

I just did the same thing! I have a bag of playboy, penthouse, etc in my office with post-its on the ones I like. I took one to my plastic surgeon and he suggested I look at 'before and after' sites on the internet to get a picture of how I want them to look, because while he is good, he doesn't know if he can replicate the airbushed loook!
I really like Charisma Carpenter from the Angel years. I could look like that! (Though, she is taller than me...)
another thing: my paper's title was "Tits and Gore: Masculinity and Violence in Playboy from 1969-1971."

I think my biggest issue is/has been even when i was (i feel like it comes up annoyingly when i say this and its not what i mean to do at all!!!) very thin, i lacked curves...while i remember my waist being 23, my hardly 34 a/b's barely balanced it out and my hips where smaller then my 34....i wished for better proportions so badly. So really any and all hour glassed gals get my votes.
Though, and as totally unrealistic for me as it is Christina Hendricks is my ideal.
