New member looking for support
Hi just found this site today, and think it is the perfect thing to help get me through this weigh loss journey. I am 27 married with 1 daughter. It took me 6 years to get pregnant, I was on a significant number of hormones that ruined my body. Now I need to get my life back. I work night shifts as a nurse in a very stressful pediatric intensive care unit which doesn't help me lose weight. I need to change my eating habbits so that I don't pass them onto my daughter, like my mother did to me. I have had physicians tell me it is no use and that I would end up having gastric surgery to lose the weight, I just can't believe that. I know I can do it I have to. Sorry for the sob story, just I feel like I am at the end of my rope.

welcome!!! You've come to the right place!! I am new here myself but already am incredibly inspired by the wonderful people here and their varied successes! I have had experience on another support board in the past and find these are great when you find a great group like this Don't let your doctor discourage you!! You CAN do this! Just remember one step at a time..start of with smaller goals so it doens't feel so overwhelming..take it 5 or 10lbs at a time if that helps. However you decide to do it, we're cheering you on
