fat face

  • My face is one of the main areas I hold fat (the other is my stomach), and I was wondering if any of you had any tips on how to make your face look thinner (make-up tips, etc.).

I can hide my belly fat by wearing black and wearing larger clothes, but I feel like I am stuck with "fat face." My cheeks get really chubby and I get puffy under the eyes, making me look older than I am, and my laugh lines are more pronounced with the extra fat next to them. I know from experience that I have to get down to like 118 before I stop looking like a chipmunk-cheeked version of Mrs. Crabapple from the Simpsons.

Does anyone else have this problem? How do you solve it? Or do I just have to wait until I lose the magic 7 lbs.?
  • I love love love makeup for this!! I've always had chubby cheeks and thanks to makeup I can fake cheek bones. I've learned all I know about makeup from you tube. There are some great makeup artists who do videos. I will post a link for one of the videos. It's about contouring, which are makeup tricks that will make your bone structure show through!! Hope this helps!

  • I have really really chubby cheeks too so I can definitely relate and wow, that palette is only $20!! I bet that her M.A.C. brushes cost more (or pretty close to) than that entire palette. I'm so gonna buy that.
  • That was a great video...I always thought I was pretty good with makeup but I never would have thought to put that chocolate brown on my pale face I'm gonna give it a try!!
  • i have the opposite my face gets thin
  • Isn't she great? I watch all her videos she's very talented and I would say my makeup skills have improved a great deal! God, what would we do without the internet??
  • ok so i am a drag queen...and the current reining Miss Gay OU. (university of Oklahoma). but anyway ill tell you how we cut our cheeks and make parts of your face to look darker so that it looks like your face is smaller and more trim... ok
    step one...the cheeks
this is a process that drag queens call "cutting your cheeks" simply put...we are trying to make our oval faces look more pointy and stand out (more like a womans)

Put darker color of blush near your ear...follow just under your cheek bone...after about half of an inch, more to a middle color, and then fade to your original lighter color...(by this point you should be near your nose and under you "apple of your cheek") make sure to blend all of the colors together by taking a neutral brush and brushing all the colors together. now if you really really really want a POP on your cheeks, to make them even more thinner...try putting a light color just above your cheek bone and under your eyes, and just under your blush line that was already placed previously...let set for about a minute...then take a neutral brush and brush off excess. also this technique will allow you to fix any mistakes or to thin out the blush line that you made.

    Step 2, Contour forehead,
you can use bronzer or darker color powder. put a LITTLE amount on a brush and begin 1/2 of an inch below your hairline making the color more dark at your hairline while fading down to your natural color...be sure to be at your natural color way before you get to your eyebrows!

    Step 3, Contour your chin
again using the same color you used on your forehead...put the bronzer under your jaw line and fade the color down your neck...this gives the illusion that your jaw bone is more pronounced thus giving the illusion that your face is not as long and has more "sunken" apperance.

other tips i might as say while im on the subject...if you want your nose to look longer and thinner...put only a shade darker color than your natural tone down the sides of your nose and near your nostrils.

and ladies dont forget to BLEND BLEND BLEND BLEND nothing looks worse than hard lines where people can tell...a good drag queen has all this and much more...but you shouldnt be able to see lines or be able to tell that they have "painted" a face on.

Hoped this helps!!!! let me know if you have questions or if any of this is confusing...ill try to find a pic of me to post so that you can see more of what im talking about.
  • ok so...i just realized someone posted a video...sorry!
  • it's ok you can never have too much info! And yes I LOVE internet...nothing you can't find. I love it for shopping,..call it lazy but so much easier to just find it online and have it shipped sometimes LOL. I probably have some sort of unhealthy dependency on google for all my informational needs
