Accidentally discovered how to not eat so much... :)

So today, I was fighting with my computer and decided to use the condensed air to clean it out. Well, the condensed air back fired and some landed in my mouth!

Let's just say that no matter what I've done I have had this taste in my mouth all day. Even when I lick my lips it's still there. I've washed my face, I have gum.... nothing works. And everything I eat tastes awful!

Let's just today I'll be under calories.

Stupid question, but does anyone have suggestions?

Eat a clove of garlic? :)

luvja 12-15-2008 05:21 PM

Yummay!
That really sucks haha. Did you try mouthwash?

kelly315 12-15-2008 05:28 PM

how funny! I agree with Faerie, eat something very strong.

I have no suggestions but what does condensed air taste like? I'm pretty intrigued I didn't think air would taste like anything! Learn something new everyday.

Eww I hate that stuff. It smells really weird. I'll remember to make sure my mouth is closed next time I use it.

If you're going to taste it, please for the love of god don't inhale. I've done some stupid things in my day, and huffing air duster was one of them. LOL I did it once to try it. You'll get a very undesirable high.

I agree with Faerie. Garlic overpowers anything! Even gum! (Next time someone asks how to get rid of a lingering garlic taste in their mouth, be sure to recommend condensed air...)

be very careful, that stuff can cause frost bite -seriously.

Okay, so maybe it wasn't so funny to you.....

Did you try some tequila? :D

Have to agree, its bottled as canned air, but really its got so many chemicals added to it, specifically carbon- which as we all know should not be ingested. Last year when I was getting a cold, I decided to try those Cold-eeeze things. Worst mistake the level of zinc in those things ruined my tastebuds for at least a week. Lately I have been using Crest White Strips when I get hungry. Obviously you can't eat with them in your mouth and by the time the 30mins is up, the hunger has passed or I don't want to waste my freshly bleached teeth on something that's just going to stain them. Let's just say my teeth are now extra white!

There is an episode of Intervention with a girl who is addicted to canned air. She goes through like 10 cans a day. Honestly, it's hilarious. I don't think the show is real so I don't feel too bad for saying that. The chick was messed up, seriously. Your post reminded me of her as soon as I read it.

Thanks ladies! I know it was funny... lol

I feel much better, but my throat still hurts and the taste it there.... lol I'm sure it will go away soon.

stellarwbz 12-16-2008 01:22 AM

Oi. I've gotten that stuff in my mouth before. It sucks. Mine wasn't enough to ruin my appetite for the day though. Lol. I hope your throat stops hurting.

hand sanitizer will remove even the smell of gasoline on your hands, and it contains alcohol, so I would suggest something with alcohol in it, like a strong version of mouthwash or something. Or drinking alcohol (as someone suggested above) might do it too. You don't have to swallow it...just swish and spit it out. Best I can offer. Or maybe diluted hydrogen peroxide in water?

If it burned your throat, you might want to swallow some baking soda in water to help sooth it. I wouldn't add to the burn by drinking anything harsh like alcohol.
