Ive been reading everyones weigh ins, yeh im nosy ;) and it seems alot of people would like a kind of bridge to help them along the way between the end of this challenge and the new year challenge.

So i am STARTING IT!

That's a really good idea! We should have some kind of two week challenge till the end of the year. Something that will keep us all in check!!

PrettyPaula 12-15-2008 12:03 PM

hey aangel...we have very similar start current and goal weights! i also started in november lol

jahjah1223 12-15-2008 12:08 PM

ive been pretty good today, snack on carrots, eaten little and often, got a new recipe waiting to go in the oven... nom nom nom!

the recipe:

Slice two large tomatoes thinly, place in the bottom of a dish with 2 cloves garlic finely sliced sprinkled all over, then plenty of basil sliced over it.. put two salmon fillets skin side up on top and drizzle with olive oil.

im gonna bake it for about 20 minutes x

Ha, we do! I started getting really serious about weight loss in November. It seemed like a good time to start losing all this baby weight my sons gave me! ;) *I wanted to wait at least 6 weeks after our younger boy was born just so my body could recover a little first! It ended up being about 8 or 9 weeks:dizzy: Better late than never though!*

That recipe sounds very good! :D

PrettyPaula 12-15-2008 01:41 PM

same height to.... im really struggling to lose anything, thinking about seeing a nutrtionist or homeopath..

congrats on the baby!

Thanks! :)

Okay, I have no idea why I did this... I made curly fries and sweet potato fries, twice, today. The last time I put some cheese on the curly ones. I rarely ever eat fries, let alone cheese fries. All I ate today was oatmeal, rice cake, some lentil soup and these fries! What is wrong with me? I'm so mad, I could just kick myself. :( Grr... I need a challenge! ;)

BTW: I never fry my food. Got rid of our deep fryer that we received as a wedding gift, almost 5 yrs ago, without even using it. I baked the fries in the oven and the cheese was kraft 2% cheddar. It was still going overboard for me though!

keep trucking, one day is not a ruin!

I was planning on doing the BL challenge for the new year. Will need some help to keep on and get there. Ready to finally get this weight off!!! Been back on track for 2 weeks now.

SarahD 12-17-2008 12:02 PM

Hey Ladies!!!
I would love to be apart of this! I need something to keep me motivated!

PrettyPaula 12-17-2008 03:56 PM

cool, the more the merrier... my bowels (TMI!) are normalising a little more which is great... hopefully i will see true weight losses now!

SarahD 12-17-2008 04:21 PM

HAHA that is always a good thing!

KimL1214 12-17-2008 08:47 PM

Phew, I was hoping someone would come up with something to keep us in check until the next challenge starts... I kind of feel lost without the challenge... Thank you PrettyPaula for starting this up!

So I had my WW weigh in tonight, and unfortunately gained 1.8 lbs. Is it weird that I am not upset about it? I survived 3 bday (mine) parties, 5 cakes, and 2 Christmas parties... and only gained 1.8 lbs. I was able to restrain myself so much more then I ever could have last year.

I'm still sick. We're trying our last round of antibiotics before the tests begin. I've had a fever, fluid in my left lung, and exhaustion for four weeks now. I put my foot down today and insisted on seeing the DR. again who agreed that this is beginning to be a bit unusual... I'm a little worried, but also hoping that these antibiotics will work and I have nothing to worry about... Speaking of which, time to go home and go to bed...

Huh...I'm in a sort of self-conflict. I stumbled across a challenge in a different forum by accident. This challenge is BL also, but not just for 20-something's. It is very well put together! They have great challenges and accountability. The part of me that is always aiming to please others doesn't want to leave this challenge for the other. I don't want to make anyone feel like this challenge or the people that are part of it, especially the head of it, are not good enough for me or whatever they would think. The other part of me, the part that is starting to emerge a little each year, wants to go to the other challenge because I believe it may benefit my weight loss journey a bit more than this challenge. That challenge may push me harder to get to my goal weight.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Okay, I decided to go with the other challenge. Hopefully you all understand, I have to do it for me...not for anybody else. I can't go on trying to please everyone while ending up hurting me and my goals. I really hope that all of you do well with the 20 something's BLC. I want you all to win!! ¡Buena suerte!;)
