Yeah thanksgiving is going to be a splurge =P but not a binge.
I'm planning on filling up on liquids and fruit before the main meal. I'm actually really excited this year because I'll be cooking a few items and whenever I cook, I usually step back and enjoy it a bit more and also want other people to enjoy it too, so I think that will help me out. My plan is to just make sure I enjoy the food, not overeat, and make sure I just spread the food out, we usually start eating around 5 - my goal is to spread the food out, enjoy it, and stop eating by 8 pm. |
My family has the worst Thanksgiving/Christmas tradition. We have Thanksgiving dinner at lunch and then the leftovers are turned into a table top spread plus a bunch of sweets and snacks that you eat throughout the day/dinner and night time is presents for christmas. That way we get one side of the family knocked out all at once as far as the holidays go. It's very convienent time wise but horrible if you are trying not to graze through the day.

These up coming holidays will defiantly be a challenge.
To help stay on track I'm going to be brining my own version of mashed potatoes with no butter and no salt. (Compared to family's heavy butter, salt, and cottage cheese potatoes) ;) Hope I can also stick to my commitment of filling up on veggies rather than dinner rolls and such.... -Wish me luck... ;) lol. |
i am going to try my hardest not to oversplurge...i will however be enjoying one glass of red wine, which really isnt all that bad for you. Good luck and try to take it easy :)
:thanks1: :turkey: |
