Weekend thread
Ya, I'm starting the weekend thread early. So what?!?
I'm so not putting anymore effort into this week. My plans: Work out alot restrict eating alot drink water...alot and think about how lonely and single I am. Maybe I'll drink alot of vodka too, this weekend. |
Todays a day at work....
running round busy.... home to workout and relax this evening.... boyfriend is planning on drinking in so ill put some tunes on and burn some calories and create some heat dancing around.... i love the weekend threads as I always tend to need support through them!.... |
My plan for the weekend is cycle 50 kms to camp on friday, take a good walk on saturday and cycle back on sunday. I'll restrict the number of beers I'll take per night on 4 (we're talking about 150 ml bottles here) and not too much snacking on the side. Yeah, it's not going to be a very OP weekend. But I lost quite fast the last week (4 lbs down!) so I figured a party would be in place.

this weekend i am going to get into the habit of getting up, going to the gym, so i have the rest of the day free for exam revision. I am, I am, I am. If i dont report tomorrow that i have gone to the gym you guys can slap me with a wet fish...electronically

Haha....I find that getting up and then going to the gym in the morning on the weekends is good. Like you said, it gives you the rest of the day for you!! That's what my plan is for the rest of the weekend too. I didn't get a chance to work out yesterday since I had another report to write (meeting 5/5 for this week today) and I didn't get home until very late, so this weekend I plan on going a bit longer than normal.
Yesterday was also a very stressful day at work with two of my kids in crisis for different reasons. Of course, they all come to us! So, we had to have a bunch of meetings and talks with the two kids and other administration members. I was really worried about the kids last night that I didn't sleep very well. It will be nice to sleep in tomorrow and not have to worry about my alarm going off at 5am! haha |

Today: Study federal tax and work on my supplier selection project Go out to dinner and coffee with friends Talk to my boyfriend and fall asleep on the phone with him (long distance, long story) Tomorrow: Gym in the morning Study Tax Work on final exam questions for purchasing Study information management Fall asleep on the phone again with boyfriend. Sunday: Church Study Church sleep Do we change our clocks back this weekend? |
ghost - Forget that boyfriend of yours! He'll be sorry when he sees how HOT you are getting! :) It's times like these where I wish we all lived in the same place! I'd take you out for some drinks! :)
I might need to join in on this weekend thread. I ALWAYS fall off the wagon on the weekends and already started last night. SO, NO NO NO! I have a group of people coming up to my work on November 7th. Have not seen these people since before I had my daughter (and was at my lowest weight in my adult life) so that will hopefully motivate me to do really well these next two weeks to include this weekend! |
For 4 days this week I've been staying at a hotel about 80 miles away while I did some work for a client. Breakfast and dinner every day involved eating out at a restaurant with a colleague and the place wasn't very accommodating for someone on a diet so this weekend I'm planning to really go for it and try to shift at least some of the weight I probably gained during the week (I daren't weight myself yet!). At least I didn't have the option of snacking in the evening as I was in the middle of nowhere. I didn't have starters or deserts either :) Even so though, I can't justify scampi and chips...it just happened :cool: I'll make my way to the gym and go do a nice healthy food shop tomorrow.

ghost break ups suck.... I'm so sorry, they do tend to make you feel like crap. however, the way I see it -every relationships is going to end in pain, and you just have to try to enjoy it for it's good moments. Try to turn your feelings right now into a positive, throw your frustration into an extra 10 minutes in your work out, or something of that nature? I hope you feel better soon!!!!

ONE WEEK TILL HALLOWEEN! gotta really kick myself in gear.... I am not gonna make my goal, but I can get closer :) stupid homecoming last week made me gain 2 lbs aghaghaghagh My weekend.... I had school off today! YAY. So, I slept in till 10, how nice. My goals: Gym every day (haven't gone since last weekend agh) Eat OP Buy some nice new clothes Get butt loads of homework done |
Unfortunately the hotel didn't have a gym. It was just one of those cheap Travel Inns with a pub next to it. Not much of anything there and although I could have gone for a walk in the evenings by the time I got to the hotel after work it was dark and I didn't fancy walking around in the dark in a place I'd never been to before. It took us 45 minutes to find the place, I might never have made it back :D I'll just have to make up for it this weekend.
(That was the first post I've done that's had my ticker on it...I'm loving the enthusiasm it's bringing! :carrot: ) |

Ive just worked out and hand friday nights tea....
3 small boiled potatoes and a third tin of baked beans.... and a fruit cake.... heres to nothing else tonight!.... |

Yay for the weekend finally getting here :) I went for a nice long walk with a friend of mine, pushing one of her kids in the stroller while she pushed the other kid. We walked for over an hour and managed to find out that the elementary school close to our house now has a track around the soccer field. That's definitely good to know for future reference.

started saturday with a workout dvd and a walk....
prior to my bran flakes with no milk for breakfast.... pasta planned for lunch.... and toast for tea.... |
wow...its been a long while since I have posted anything on here...but seeing as its a weekend I thought this an appropriate place to post.
Hmmm well Saturday is now is its final throws but it went to plan. 30km (19mile) run this morning and then the whole day spent digging and shifting soil. Food was more than a usual day given the amount of sheer physical activity! (and my backside is so sore right now!) with a generous few glasses of red wine. Tomorrow will be more digging/shoveling as well as a shorter run (probably about 14kms (just under 9 miles) and food...muesli, yoghurt with banana for brekky, left over roast turkey & veggies for lunch with smoked salmon salad for dinner. I anticipate falling into bed Sunday night in complete physical exhaustion with that feeling you've pushed as hard as you can! |

just have tea and the evening munchies left to conquer.... everyone is having chinese for tea.... im still determined to eat toast.... |

started today off good...made french toast with egg whites/weight watcher bread..it was ok..lol.......used the E.D. Smith low sugar syrup...ate a banana before my Aquafit class.....home now from class and just ate a Curves chocolate peanut granola bar (100 calories and 4gms of fibre) and an orange...I love Aqua aerobics..makes me feel so refreshed! Boyfriend is on his way home from the airport....afraid he may want to go out for supper..perhaps I can cook something here............he is taking some time off from his job..which means I cannot only focus on ME and my eating all the time..its the both of us :S...this terrifies me! |
Went to WW this morning and lost another 3 lbs this week. Other than that, working this whole weekend. Can't wait for Monday, first day off in 7 days.
I'm getting impatient now - going back to Jamaica on December 26th, but it's taking FOREVER to come. I miss my "love" and friends there so much I could cry... actually I DO cry sometimes... This horrible cold weather is just making me miss them more. Hurry up December 26th!!. Thanks for listening to me rant... Hope everyone has a decent weekend...:hug: |

Ok so for breakfast/lunch(had a work meeting that took up most of my morning) I ate scrambled eggs, some grapes, and some veggie bacon. It was delish!! The only bad thing is that since I have been so stressed out and busy with the sudden move that I haven't been able to make it to the gym as much. They only have daycare at certain times there so I am limited as to when I can go!! Darn...maybe I will have time to do a workout DVD today....we'll see if my son takes a nap or not though:(

i am so sore today >.< anyone got hints for getting evening snacking under control? I know, dont start because its just to hard to stop...but its hard not to start too! I do so well in the day, but after dinner i'll snack on an extra 500 calories and its really depressing

I must confess, I totally blew it at dinner tonight. I had 2 huge chicken burritos and some pop... NOT diet pop.

Luvja It's okay, you lost 3 lbs! THAT'S AMAZING! I would kill to be able to loose 3 lbs. My body is just stuck in a rut, AHHHH.
my sins; i ate 1700 cals yesterday. Much more then I need. one drink turned into several.... and I made a big meal for all my friends chicken Parmesan, it was amazing, but very calorie dense. but today I went to the gym. I'm back OP! Lyria 19 miles? How long did it take you to be able to run that? I just got up to 3 miles! |
i ate a turkey breast sandwich today instead of the chinese food that was planned! woot!

Garstar - It took about 2 hours 45 minutes. It was to my office and back. I wanted to test out the route since I am thinking of running in a couple mornings a week. The actual run IN is only about 14kms/8 miles (which would take a little over an hour) but I took a slightly more convoluted route back so I wouldn't get bored!
I always have a such a sore bum after a long run lol...never knew you used your arse so much when you run until I started going further! |
I had pizza on friday night. I tried to make up for it today (saturday) but I'm not sure how it'll all pan out.

My ssturday finished well....
and my sundays started great.... workout followed by breakfast of bran flakes.... we have roast beef for dinner with boiled brocoli, potatoes and carrots.... im going to try and resist the yorkshire pudding and apple crumble for desert.... wish me luck.... |

well i resisted the yorkshires....
and resisted the apple crumble.... so i ate 342 calories at dinner time.... cudnt resist one spoon of ice cream tho.... im up to 550 calories for the day!.... |
I had a great weekend!
Friday I cycled 4 hours to our camp location. We went uphill all the time, were against the wind and it rained a little bit. Still it was fun. That night I drank alcohol ... a lot (about 5 consumptions?) and also ate some not-so-good stuff (hamburger, chocolate). Saturday I took the bike and cycled some more, 1.5 hours or so. Night was drinking time again (9 this time). I'm actually surprised that I wasn't way more hungover today. It was pretty manageable with a big breakfast and a lot of water. Cycling back took us 2,5 hours. Sadly it was raining all the time so we were soaked to our underwear when we arrived. Still, it was a fun weekend, though not so great diet-wise. But I had decided beforehand that I wouldn't watch it all that well in order not to spoil my camp. |
Elwing - I have a hard time with alcohol on the weekends too. My friends all like to go out and drink. Then they pressure me into drinking if I say I don't want to. Sometime I just get a diet soda and tell them I'm drinking tehehe. It's so silly, it's not like you have to drink to have fun!
Sh3l5 You're to motivated! Just remember it's ok to have a treat every once and a while ;) I hit the gym yesterday, that felt great. Going to do it a gain! Resisted drinking and eating food with my friends last night, so I stayed OP! YES! My goal is to loose 1 lb this week, I thinking that i can do it! Today It's already noon and I haven't eaten, I will soon. I get to go to work, then dinner with my parents. We're thinking pizza.... maybe I'll have 1 piece and a lot of salad.... |
yeah, this weekend i went to a nashville predators game with my mom and step-dad (nhl, we love hockey) and wendy's has this deal where if the preds get 5 goals in the game, you can bring in your ticket stub for a free frosty.
well, the predators beat the kings 5-4. but we didn't stop and get a frosty because it would have been too crowded. now i'm going back to my apartment today and the wendy's there don't do this, so i'm frosty-free. not REALLY by choice, but regardless - NO FROSTY. :) |
well i ate a yoghurt, apple and 2 fruit cakes for tea....
i only wanted to eat 1.... bonus is i guess they are home made and hardly have any sugar in at all!.... |
Today is football game day and my mom always makes a huge spread of different foods and whatnot. I tried to do the best that I could food wise considering everything that was out. I had every single one of the baby carrots, some cheese, some kielbasa, and splurged on a chocolate chip cookie. And washed it all down with tons of water! haha
Dinner later on tonight will be a piece of leftover pizza. I plugged everything into my calorie counter and things don't look too bad number wise. Sodium went over a bit, but I still have leftover calories to play with and I did get in a 45 minute workout on the elliptical today, so all in all, it was a good day! |

Friday - not a darn thing after work Saturday - went to target then hung out with my sis at her place for like 6 hours Sunday - wonderful first date hiking around great falls then dinner with my fam (obviously not with the date lol) |
