Proof the Scale Lies!!!
Ok, so this may not be a big deal but I'm pretty excited.
I have been working out since July 24th. So that's basically three months of working out. I'm sure you guys have seen me complaining how I've lost 7 pounds in the lost 3 months after losing 19 pounds my first month. I started out measuring chest, waist, stomach, hips, thighs, arms, wrists.... Are you ready for this? 24 inches total!!!! I can't believe it! I've gone from a size 22 to 16, barely a 16 but I wore those size 16 jeans today! I wanted to post this for everyone that has been stuck and not losing. The scale lies! It doesn't tell you how many inches you've lost..... Thank you for everyone that has been there for me! I wanted to give up so many times b/c I was frustrated and you didn't let me! This is just a mile stone, but I've lost 2 ft of myself!!!!!!! :carrot: |
I Am So Proud! I Want To Give You 1000 Carrots!:carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::c arrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::car rot::carrot::carrot::carrot::cheer2::cheer2::cheer 2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer3::cheer3::cheer3::cheer3: :cheer3::cheer3:
Proof its not always about the scale! Way to go! Keep it up! |
Omg!! That's amazing!! Inches usually mean more than pounds anyways, seeing as how pounds can be altered by muscle weight especially if you've been working out!! WOW! 2 feet that's crazy!!
CONGRATS!! KEEP IT UP!! |
That is amazing! Good for you!! It took me a whie to get to size 16.. but what an incredible feeling!! CONGRATS!!!
|
That is AWESOME! I knew you'd been working SO hard and its great you have made such amazing progress. Just the motivation you need to keep going! I'm so happy for you!!
|
WOW, that is so crazy when you think about it that way--2 ft of yourself! What an amazing accomplishment! I know I already told you this, hehe, but I seriously am SO blown away by your hard work, especially in light of the fact that you've kept going even though the scale hasn't been the best at tracking your progress. That is truly inspirational! :D

That is awesome! Congrats!
|
Wonderful! Just another example of why we should keep our HEALTH in mind more than just a number on a machine.
|
WOW.

|
Wow, that is so great! Well done! *shakes fist at own scale* You liar!
|
Yay! Way to go! 16 is a milestone, it means you don't have to necessarily shop in what my mom used to call the "big girl's" section any more!!!
:carrot: :carrot: I just got into 14s for the first time since high school, so I am celebrating with you! You'll breeze right through 16s. Aren't the inches so much more beneficial than the pounds? I think we are too driven by the wrong number sometimes! |
Congratulations HWGA!!! That is such great news :)
|
Congratulations!!!!! That's so fantastic and what a great feeling it must be!! :carrot:
It just goes to show that being obsessive about what the scale says everyday is really secondary to how your clothes are actually fitting. That's what I go by. Keep up the good work! |
Oh my goodness! Thanks girls! I honestly didn't think it would be that big a deal although I'm so excited. Last night, my friend made me pull out the tape measure and see what 2 ft looks like. I was in awe that those inches came off my body.... Thank you all so much! :)
|
Yay!!!!
Awesome!!!!!!!!
Oh, I bet you are so excited! Screw the scale! I also decided I was only going to use it when I get to my "maintain" weight just to stay on track. Wow thats a ton of inches! I would just be ready to die of happiness if I had lost that much body fat. I'm so proud of you! |
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Wow, when I first saw 2 feet I said "it must be a lot" (we use meters here), then I converted that into meters and I just couldn´t believe it... 60 cms! You are an inspiration specially bc you kept going even though the scale was not showing progress!!!! |
Wow!!! Thats a LOT of inches to lose!! Impressive!! Congrats :) And 16 feels SO good, enjoy it, because at this rate you'll be in a 14 before you know it! ;)

Thats great news Heather :)
I actually never measured my inches - I wish I had of now. I guess I could always start. |

Ghost- um yeah! I sent you a PM.
|
I have the same problem with measuring ... i seen too be not losing too many inches but losing pounds instead .. ive lost about 17 pounds so far and my thighs are still the same measurements! not my waist though.
|
It does seem like it's one or the other.... you either lose inches or weight.... but don't they both even out in the end?
|
They do , Which is why you should always stay motivated :D
