I ran the 5K!!!

My goal for the last 3 years has been to be in shape enough to run a race.

:carrot: Yesterday I did it!!!! :carrot:

I ran the 5K, I got 32 minutes. OH man, I pushed myself much faster then my normal pace so I could get a good time - I'm in so much pain today :) lol my leg muscles are just killing me!!! I'll have pictures from the run soon hehe

However, yesterday was homecoming.... and I ate and drank ALL day. I'm really scared to weigh myself this week, I'm so angry with myself that I went over board and just ate food and drank alcohol all day. OH well, I can't change it - so I just need to go extra good this week.

Congratulations! Your time is pretty good, too! At my first 5k, I told myself that I just wanted to run the whole thing, and not worry about time, but when you get there and you can see the finish line it's hard not to push yourself. You did good :D

JulieJ08 10-19-2008 09:53 PM

Congratulations!!! I need to do that.

Way to meet your goal! You're an inspiration to someone just (re)starting out on her fitness/weight loss journey!

That is so great!! It's always so fun to meet fitness goals!! And I think it's ok to party a little. You're getting healthy, a day here and there won't change that. Congratulations!! :carrot:

So awesome!!! :carrot: I've been skinny before, but I've never been able to run a 5K. Don't worry about your well-deserved day off, just get back on the program!
