Stupid calorie intake question!

  • Ok smart ladies of 3fc!

I was eating 1500 calories and started working out and got really hungry and quit losing weight. I upped my calories to 2000-2200 last week. I did good for awhile, but then didn't eat as much Sat and Sun 1200 sat and 1700 sun. Now, I'm only at 900 for the day, not hungry and I'll still eat my dinner, it's only 2:10 right now, but could it be that my body is just not hungry and don't need all of these calories?
  • only thing i can think is maybe your stomach is shrinking? maybe a protien drink would get some calories in ya ( if that is what you think you need )
  • if its only 2:10 you may be hungry by dinner time....like ravenously hungry. I have to force myself to eat sometimes. Just remember, You need to eat to lose. I bet if you eat a salad befor dinner and wait about 45 minutes you'll be hungry for dinner.
  • I don't like the idea of eating unless I'm actually hungry, but I'd get to at least 1200 if you really, really think you can't eat anymore. You should be able to manage another 300 by dinner.
  • Occasionally I'll eat less then 1200 but I really try to hit that much. Are you measuring all of your food sometime you underestimate your calories. I would say not to make a habit of it but if it happens occasionally then your ok.
  • Going from 1200 to 2000 is a big jump. I think that your body needs some time to adjust. Try increasing by just 200 calories and moving your way up. Dont force yourself to eat but try to get atleast 1200. Remember that the more you work out the hungrier you will prolly be
