I haven't been on this thread in a while. I have to say I've been doing it still, although I took the day off yesterday. I decided that I knew I was going to have another 16 hour day so.... I got up at 5:45 did JM and was at the door by 6:45 am! I'm so proud of myself. I'm not a morning person at all.

I measure every ten days of the thread. I weigh in every monday.

Here we go- Well Kudos to you but you wont see me up at 5:45 am! Well, if it is 5:45 your time than really it is 7:45 my time in which case I am already at work. So I guess you could see me but that is a different story!

Day 4 Level 1 completed. I sweat so bad still, but don't feel like I am gonna die now. lol I am energized to get through all 30 days.

Now with that being said, I have gained about 2.4lbs since I started I hope this is not a trend. I have not been eating anymore, but I have been excercising lots. Is it normal to gain a few before losing?

Hey Nalia- I'm excited to hear that you also gained weight at first... Not that it's exciting, but I did the same thing.
Your body will be building muscle faster than it's burning fat, but the more muscle you have the more fat you burn. So it takes a couple days for your body to catch up - a lot of people who start working out and trying to lose weight experience a little weight gain at first (I always do!) because muscle weighs so much more than fat. I wondered if it was common with 30DS, anyone else notice it too? Just know that yesterday was my 7th day on it and I am now almost 2 pounds down from where I started. Good luck keep it up!

i was the same way nalia n carcar---- i gained too and didnt lose at all until i started level 3 --- but i was like oh well---i felt stronger---and i knew that with everyone else getting such great results i would catch up and start losing too--- i started the shred stuck at 160--- now i'm about two days left of it and i am down to somewhere b/w 153 and 155--- it keeps bouncing in there---but at least its not looking like 160 anymore

After glancing at the November Challenge thread I decided I'd start just editing this specific post with my measurements/weights/keeping me accountable for doing it every day. Sound good!?

So here are my stats! And I'm not skipping another day until my 30 day shred is done, it's so not worth it to skip!!!


Measurements:


Starting Level 1 : 10/29/08
Bust 39"
Waist 31.5"
Hips 39.5"
Thighs 24" each
Weight 174

1 week into Level 1 : 11/05/08
Bust 38" : -1"
Waist 31" : -.5"
Hips 38.5 : -1"
Thighs 23" each : -1" each!
Weight 172.6 : -1.4 lbs

Final results from Level 1 : 11/09

Bust 38" : -1"
Waist 31" : -1"
Hips 38.5 : -1.5"
Thighs 23" each : -1" each!
Weight 172.6 : -1.4 lbs

Keeping me honest...
10/29: Level 1 Day 1 done
10/30: Day 2 done
10/31: Day 3 done

Just had to post some more measurements-
My bust & waist are the same, but:

Hips: 37 : 2.5 inches lost since starting
Thighs: 22.5 : 1.5 inches lost since starting

I have not been very consistent with level 2 but I'm starting 30 Day Shred for 30 Days in December TODAY! WOO HOO! Keep it up everyone!

Carcar and princess - thanks for the reassurance that I was not the only one to put on a few at the beginning, but that they will come off in the end.

I think I have already lost an inch off my waist..in 4 days is that possible?

Nalia- Totally possible because by day 4 I had lost an inch on my hips and an inch on each of my thighs and a half inch on my waist. Don't you love this workout?

So I was suppose to start lvl 2 today....I tried this Morning and Im so intimidated.. I mean come on a walking push up.....WTH?! I got to that point (I know its the beginning) and I shut it off after I fell on my head doing the walking push up. Someone tell me Im just having an "off day"....Well I have errands to run and stuff....When we come back and the kiddies go down for a nap I think I'll try again...

Day 5 Level 1 Complete! Everyday I feel a bit better being able to complete it.

Sarah- Give it another try. You can do it! (says the girl on easy level 1 lol) Feel free to remind me how hard lvl 2 is in a few days

Day 5 Level 1 done yesterday. Much more capable of going through it without taking a break.

Doing this one intermittently with C25K so it feels like I'm going soo slow. I'm trying to figure out how I'll be able to do this every day and still run every other...

not enough hours in the day.

I have absolutely NO motivation today to do this work out. Could it be the pizza I had for dinner? The excessive snacking I did? The lack of water intake? Or all of the above?! GOOD GRIEF, I know I'm to blame but I wish I could just say it's that TOM or something!! hahahaha!

OK, I'm going to do this workout now. I just had to rant, I wish ya'll were here to kick my *** into shape and force me to work out and eat right. Today was tough and I was weak but tomorrow is a new day and I'm going to make it a day to blast today away so I don't feel guilty anymore!!!

keep it up everyone--- I"m down to the last day-- i just finished day 9 of level 3 --- i know you all can do it-- just do as much as you can and push through the pain--cant do a move --- do it as best as you can and alternate b/w the easy and hard version as needed--- aim to finish it and you'll be surprised at how easily the next day comes and by some small miracle you can do the move that you struggled with the previous day---
