alright just finished day 1 of level 3---its not as bad as everyone has been saying the only parts i struggled with were circuit 2 where you are using the weights ---since i was using the same 5lb ones i've been using for levels one and two they totally were like murder for this and almost felt like stopping the dvd to go and grab the 3 lb ones but i just pushed through it ---the worst is the shadow boxing with the weights--ouch!!
oh and on a side note --- i've finally lost some weight and can say that today i'm back down to 156.8lbs ---yes finally!!!
oh and sorry i didnt have measurements for the begining but i have them for now--- so i guess mine will only have to be for the last ten days---but hey---better than nothing ===

Hey- For those of you who do 30DS in the mornings, do you eat breakfast first? I have read that doing exercise prior to breakfast helps you to burn more calories because you don't have to burn through what you just ate first, and it keeps your metabolism higher throughout the day. Yesterday was my first day on 30DS and afterwards I felt a little shaky, just a little nothing really overly concerning, but I hadn't eaten breakfast first.
Just wondering if that was why. Thanks ladies! On to my L2D2 workout!
Well I'm on day 4 and my soreness is starting to subside...except in my calves! They feel like rocks. Very sore rocks. Jumping jacks and jump rope are evil I tell you. Pure evil.

I took an unscheduled rest day because I think I pulled an ab - six days ago I didn't even think I had any! Hoping to get right back on that horse tomorrow!
I was at Target today and saw the DVD...it was almost $15, but I'm so anxious to get started that I bought it. My copy from the library isn't due until the 6th. I really want to do as much as I can before Thanksgiving! I'm going to start tonight. Wish me luck!!
carcar, there's a bit of a debate about that, actually. Some people say that you're more likely to burn glycogen stores instead of fat if you eat first. And, of course, there are variants depending on whether the exercise is cardio or strength or circuit, etc. Personally, I don't think it matters too much unless you're an elite athlete. You burn the same calorie-wise either way, so I'd just do whichever makes you more comfortable. I usually eat a banana first or else I get dizzy.
Speaking of which, I upped my weights a bit and today at a certain point I had to stop because my heart rate was just too crazy. Maybe I'm just tired today, or maybe my body isn't adjusting as fast as I thought it was. Either way, L2D5 finished!
I was wondering after I finish the 30 days- Do I start over from phase 1 or do I do phase 3 forever? Does anyone have any of her other dvd's ? I was thinking about getting the 5 dvd box set and doing them after I did a few months of the shred!
I'll post my before and after results when Im finished with the 30 days.
