Can I join your rant???? :tantrum:
3 weeks in:
week 1 4Lb loss
week 2 3Lb Loss
Week 3 0lb loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have gradually increased my exercise each week have stuck ridgidly to my eating plan but come to a stand still. I can't even blame it on TOM as I don't suffer with this
On a plus note I do feel better in my self but just wish the scales had refelcted this.
Oh well here's to week 4 hopefully there will be a loss at the end of this

I'm gonna stick at it and pray that it works this time!!!!!!!!!

:crossed:

Omg...sorry, but 156 for FIVE weeks!

You've nearly lost all your weight, and staying the same for two days isnt worth a rant in my opinion. you have done an incredible job so far, so instead of chastising yourself for not fluctuating why aren't you patting yourself on the back?

I agree that it isn't rant-worthy, but it can be pretty disconcerting not to fluctuate at all. I have been 119.0 each morning for a week, and I'm starting to wonder if my scale is broken.... I should still retain water sometimes, right?

sh315 you have lost 61 pounds , what are you complaining about?
Maria at 5'4" you weigh 119 , that is outstanding.
Weight loss will vary as we lose, generally we lose more rapidly at the beginning of our diets and weight loss slows done as we get closer to goal.

The smaller you get, the more you need to push the exersize! Your at a great weight now, but if it's not for you, you have to work outside your comfort zone. I would never complain about weighing the same 4 days in a row if I knew that I was sticking to the same plan, at some point your body will reach it's limit with that plan and you have to move on

Oh, I didn't mean I wanted to lose more weight. I was actually happy at 125, but I've developed super healthy habits and the weight keeps coming off. If I get much lower than this, I'll probably brainstorm ways to gain a little back while maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle.

What I find strange is being the exact same weight every day...to the tenth of a lb. Don't people usually fluctuate 1-2 lbs/day? At least I usually do. For instance when I was around 121, some days the scale would say 120.8. some days 121.1, some days 121.6.

I have been STUCK at my current size and weight for almost FOUR YEARS. No matter what I do, no matter how much I workout, no matter what I eat, or when, or how much, I am STUCK.

FOUR YEARS.

Wow, you lost 64 pounds with no more than 1 day at any weight???????? I'd like to advise, but it is completely and utterly out of my realm of experience:dizzy:.

sh3l5 09-11-2008 01:25 PM

so, what ur all basically saying is i have no reason to rant?....
i thought this was a support forum....
for when you needed support....

staying the same for 5 days now is something new for me....
other people rant at things, whether i agree or not....
so why cant i rant?!....

amandarose17 09-11-2008 01:31 PM

Please rant! Just know that a lot of us can not fathom being 135lb and instead of ranting we would be having a party. At least that is how I feel on the matter.

However, I don't want to make you feel bad. Sometimes I feel like depending on the the Earths rotation I gain and lose weight

I've had the scale remain exactly the same several days in a row, too, but i weighed at the same time every day. Not usually if I weighed at different times. I remember thinking it was odd, but I don't think it means that there is anything wrong.

I did learn that the scale I have tends to 'stick' with the last weight, so if DH didn't weigh between when I weighed last and when I get on today it will often come up very quickly with the same weight as yesterday. This morning it came up with a number way too fast - gave me my weight before I even had both feet on the scale, and it was exactly the same as yesterday. So, I followed a suggestion I had seen in another post and weighed myself with a big bottle of mouthwash and got something different. The next time I got what seemed like a more realistic weight, different from yesterday! :)

Digital or analog scale?

sh3l5 09-11-2008 02:40 PM

digital....
