I stopped a binge
Well I wasn't to excited about tonights dinner so I didn't eat it...but I ended up SUPER hungry.
In the space of about 30 minutes I had 3 special k 90 calorie bars and a 100 calorie pack...I also put a chicken potpie in the oven. Well, after eating the special k bars and 100 calorie pack - reality hit me in the face and asked 'WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING?" I didn't have an answer. So I turned off the oven, threw the pie away...and I am still under my calories by 53. I may end up eating a turkey sandwich later because I know I will be hungry for dinner so I will go over my calories by probably 200...but at least it's not a 694 calorie pot pie..... FYI: Did you know those things have 1.010 of sodium?? Update: I had a turkey sandwich and my calories ended up being 1.747...that's not HORRIBLE, right? Anyway - I am proud of myself that I stopped the binge. That's a huge improvement! |
You did great! Good for you! Super hungry is always dangerous.
|
Great Job Taylor! Those moments are really hard and you got through it succesfully.
|
yey! that's fabulous that you stopped yourself... I can never manage to do it!
|
Nevermind...my boyfriend ended up eating one and I had half.
GRRRR. I suppose tonight just ended up being my "night off"....so no wine or cheese at my dads b-day. |
WOW, I've never in my life been able to stop a binge. More power to you, girl!Even if you went a little over your calories, stopping a binge is a bigger victory.
|
YAY! Great job! :D
|
Yeah, it would have been...if I hadn't have eaten 1/2 of the pot pie....and then a cup of noodles. I really tried..... now I feel bloated ad gross. Dang, sometimes food just gets the better of me....
|
Good stuff Taylor! I need to start questioning myself. If I found myself asking "What are you doing" anytime I was about to do the wrong thing, I would be maintaining! :) Keep up the great work.
|
I' m with you tonight Taylor. I too gave in...and this will have to be y 'night off' as well. Toorrow is a new day.
I ended up have a chicken wrap in a cheese filled wrap...and dessert, and a glass of wine. doesn't sound too bad but when I daily plated it it was 750calories... |
Great job, and the calories are no biggie. It's just maintenance calories, and only one day at that.
|
way to go!....
i turned down a chinese meal and chips.... and opted for coleslaw and crackers!.... |
Great job stopping the binge!! That is sooo hard!!!! Totally carrot worthy::carrot:
I know you ended up eating the pot-pie anyways, but you didn't eat it "in the moment" of the binge, so that's different. |
Hi All,
I too, have been known to binge. Whats that famous phrase, all of us dieters use..."my diet starts Monday. " That has always been my excuse to binge all weekend....the problem is the weekends add up! I was on vacation last week, so my weekend turned into 11 days. Not good! I made 2 batches of Preacher cookies (my favorite binge) and one batch of brownies...I am usually great on my diet all week...the envy of everyone at work. If they only knew! I have been maintaining my weight within 5 to 7 pounds for many years now...But, I cannot seem to lose...lol Imagine that..I have tried south beach several times, and never stick with it...Its expensive and time consuming. I know what I need to do to lose the weight....its just not easy make the right choices all the time...I do think it would be fun to have this forum to encourage ourselves and each other to make the right choices and to brag when we do... |
Great job at recognizing the binge. I too often do not even know I'm in the midst of one until I *wake up* afterwards - such was the case this afternoon after I polished off the ENTIRE bag of ruffles light chips...*sighs*
Although you ate 1/2 the pie, you were still able to recognize and argue with the binging behavior....that's a step closer to kicking it to the curb! |
