Yikes! That is really ridiculous. I am also a vegetarian, so I usually try to avoid eating out, as well... Typically, the only vegetarian items you can get are a salad (drenched in dressing, cheese, and croutons--and that's only IF you can get it without meat!), a veggie burger (fried in grease on the same pan as the regular burgers, and served with fries!), or grilled cheese (not even gonna go there). You might be lucky and get some plain pasta with marinara sauce, but I hate having to pay steep restaurant prices for something that I could make myself--and it'd be healthier, too! I always try to special order stuff, but they inevitably mess it up, and you can never be 100% that they're doing what you ask (as this article clearly shows!).

Ugh. I need to stop going out to eat entirely. Hehe.

well crap... I just ate steak fajitas at Chevys on Sunday.

Ugh. Just one more thing to add on my list of disappointments for the week.

That is crazy data! My husband owns a restaurant. It is not a chain. It has Indian food and the restaurant is fine dining. Anyways, I realize that the only way not to gain for me is to avoid eating at the restaurant. And for me that means not going there. I didnt have a weight problem before I started eating there so much. It's not that the food is worse than any other restaurant for you, it's that it IS restaurant food.
Homemade meals are for sure the way to go if we want to loose!

I don't eat anything anywhere if I don't know how many calories, carbs and fat is in the food. The only way we can be accountable to our selfs is to know what we are putting into our body's. My personal opinion, which I know doesn't count for much lol is this. We know eating out isn't good for us. I think it is wrong to tell restaurants what can be put into the food they make. Just like everything else in this world today people want to blame everyone else for their bad choices. If it is bad for you, don't eat it. That is the bottom line. Don't eat it. Don't blame Mc Donald's because you got fat. Blame yourself for putting all that crap into your body. I wasn't really surprised by anything in the article. Of course all that stuff is full of fat and carbs and calories, why do you think it tastes so good lol. Remember way back when we were being told fat has no taste. Pleaseeeeeeeeee, Mc Donald's Fry's haven't tasted good since they changed the grease they were cooked in lol.
