I will not miss:

My "belt" (the pooch in the front, the rolls on the side, and the love handles in the back.

Never going shopping because it hurts too bad.

Missing out on life.

My football player arms.

Avoiding cameras and looking at my pictures.

Avoiding looking at myself in the mirror.

Pulling on my clothes because the fit is terrible.

Feeling like I'm not at my best.

Just thought of another one.

I won't miss my Mother - In-Law giving me smaller portions of meat and larger portions of veggies because "I'm a little thick around the mid-section".

I also won't miss the deragatory terms they address to other "fat" people when they see them on the street, "But of course they are never directed at me".

I have always wanted to wear tall boots, but I will probably always have to find boots with a wider calf, my calf is all muscle and it's big.

When I'm laying on my side in bed and my boyfriend puts his arm around me and my belly fat is flopping to the side and it makes me sooooo uncomfortable.

The way jeans dig into me and leave red lines on my big fat gut.

petitehourglass- that is not right, I am sorry your mother in law is rude to you. Really to have extra pounds is not the worst thing in the world. There are so many more things people should get upset about like global warming, bad marriages, car wrecks, bad credit....Your daughter in law's weight should not be a concern of yours.

Dont worry lady, you're on the right path to bettering yourself, and when it's all said and done you wont need their compliments bc you have been better than all that nonsense all along!

Thanks Nickyzeekat.

My MIL is a woman that believe anything in excess is a sin. So for me to be heavy, shows a lack of self control along with excessive eating.

She's a very tiny woman, and Chinese (not that being Chinese makes someone rude). It's just a culture thing I think.

She caught sight of my bra strap a while back (I have a full rack as my hubby says) and she commented on the strap was too wide, and that I might want to consider not wearing sleeveless to cover it up.

*sigh*

There are many more things to worry about, and she is one I'm trying not to!

I won't miss having a closet full of clothes, but nothing to wear.

I won't miss going into a store, shopping around for hours, and walking out empty-handed.

I won't miss sweating profusely while pretty much doing nothing.

Default i won't miss stupid convos

I won't miss conversations like this with my best friend in the whole world (happens to be a size 0).

Her "ooo this would look good on you" (holding up a size 5)
Me "That won't fit me"

or something like this...

Her "Why don't you even try stuff on?"
Me "I know nothing fits me in this store"
and its true, the highest size in the store is always 11 .

I also won't miss barely fitting in rides at amusement parks and always having to make the seat belt as big as possible.

I won't miss sucking it in, although it makes your abs stronger. I can actually do way more sit-ups than my skinny friends. Too bad the abs are covered in fat.

Things that I won't miss when I hit my goal-

-A lot of what you ladies already said- getting sweaty and tired easily, not feeling as sexual or being inhibited because of weight, being the fat friend, trying on clothes/not finding clothes in your size, bat wing arms, etc...

-wanting to dance, but not feeling right when I do it- feeling so limited in my range of movement

-seeing old friends from HS and feeling like I have to make jokes, i.e.-"well, as you can see I discovered pizza in the last 10 yrs.!" or "I don't have any kids yet, but I sure had a lot of chicken wings!" because I KNOW they're shocked. My weight gain is like a giant pink elephant in the room with people who I haven't seen in a while.

-being embarassed when I'm driving- this happens a lot, especially if I'm grabbing a bite to eat behind the wheel. Or if a trucker passes me on the highway, I hate that they can look down into my car and see my fat rolls. It feels invasive and makes me cringe.

-the feeling that I don't deserve certain things because I'm big- like attention or praise. And I'm married, so I'm not looking for attention from men, but just general attention...I don't speak up as much because I don't want people to think I'm a "fat b*tch". I certainly won't miss that lack of self-confidence.

-sleep apnea, heartburn, acid reflux, ridiculously sore feet/legs after shopping or working, the constant looming threat of diabetes, stroke, and heart attack

-chubby hands. My fingers are disproportionately small anyway, so they look extra ugly when I'm heavy.

-knowing I could be the prettiest woman in the room, but my fat makes me one of the ugliest. I know that might sound vain, but every woman who has been told they have "such a pretty face" knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

My FAT thighs or huge butt - I won't miss either of them ever!

Being able to wear shorts. I do not own one pair of shorts.

Being able to wear a bathing suit. I don't wear bathing suits, I wear a HUGE t-shirt and shorts that go to my knees and if i'm on the beach, I cover up.

Fat arms.

Lower stomach fat.

I'm sure others have said this, but you know when your thighs rub together when you walk?! Ugh!
