  • well this is my 142lb body....
i hoped by the time i was 140lbs id have no handles and look magnificient....
here is what i actually do look like....
at 5 foot 7 i still feel a lil too chunky....
and as a reault i have decided to ammend my goal to 133lb....
    opinions are very welcome....

    sorry about the mcdonalds milkshake....
its something ive been craving a lot lately....
so i had one the other day....
    it was gawjus!....

  • You don't look chunky at all. You look wonderful. Are you on any kind of exercise program? I don't think you need to lose any more weight. How do you feel? I had a C-section, so I am trying to get back that lost feeling in my abs? I started a good at-home video by Jillian Michaels called 30-day shred. After six days of that, I can already tell a difference.
  • to be honest loopy i can see what you are saying TOTALLY BUT and this is a huge BUT ytour ribs are protruding alot already so any more weight loss is just gonna look horrid.

I seriously think you should be concentrating on exercise and body shaping that way now... some pilates and yoga would tone the hips and Glutes making your love handles as you call them reduce... you have a curvy shape.. no use fighting it.

and well done, your tummy is gorgeous!
  • you are gettin' scrawny lady!
I have the buddah belly and the strange love handles too. Just something that we have to embrace!
    Lookin' hawt.
  • I agree...you look great!! Congrats!
  • You look awesome!

I agree with everyone else, concentrate on exercise. Maybe look into getting your body fat % measured and depending on where it is work on lowering through exercise. That is a better indication of fitness/health then weight is.
  • i do an hour of exerice a day....
whether it be cycling, running or swimming....
its always an hour a day, some days too (on a sunday) and when i feel ive had a bad day of eating....
its how ive lost all my weight....
i havent so much cut out all the bad food, just focused on the exercising....
  • the things you are doing exercise wise are mainly cardio though... some dedicated strength training can target areas for improvement... and also lowering the fat in your foods will help reduce BF.
  • what a beautiful body you have. Your waistline is curvy and womanly. alot of people swear by pilates to "pull it all in". But, indeed you have a really wonderful figure! Enjoy it!!
  • Loopy - I found adding a strength aspect to my routine helped tone my body and make me look a lot leaner. We have the same protruding ribcage and funny belly - your back is a lot flatter though, luck you! Which means your stomach doesn't always stick out ten miles like mine :P

I switched from concentrating on scale weight to concentrating on my body fat percentage.

I do about 40 - 60 mins cardio most days a week and also 3 to 4 "body pump" sessions which are a 60 minute all over weights class. I also do a kick boxing class which is great for toning to upper body and legs and an "abs" class 3 to 4 times a week.

<-- thats me over there posing in the bikini lol.

*hug* good luck! You've already done a fab job
  • You don't have love handles... you have hips. (Wonderful hips at that.) Your weight seems fine. So I doubly & triply suggest strength training now that you have a lot of cardio down.
  • I agree with the Pilates suggestion -- it might give you that extra toning oomph you seem to be looking for. Also, it just makes you FEEL really strong!!

And you have a great bod!! Yeah, you're not a size 0 supermodel, but you've got CURVES (in the sense that you have a well-defined waist that then curves outward....not in the sense that you're "curvy" = plus-sized, because you're clearly not anymore!) -- and that's sexy!! Way sexy!!! When you get too thin you lose that sense of femininity I think, sometimes, and that's just sad!

I say embrace it and try to find clothes that really accentuate the slimness of your waist -- it's a great feature!

    (PS -- I hope that made sense...I'm just coming off a 5 am - 8:00 pm workday, so I'm a little loopy!)
  • I agree with everyone that says you don't need to lose more weight. If I were you I would start toning and strength training. I think you will then see the results you're after.
