BUT I NEED IDEAS!! Can anyone help!
  • Hiya!

Breakfast = super duper important, so I'm glad you see that you need to eat it. It doesn't have to be anything large. In fact, if can be a piece of fruit & a cheese stick or cup of yogurt. A small bowl of oatmeal and milk. Something, anything, will be good.

If you're there from 9 - 2, I think you do need to bring lunch (or a good snack even if you don't want to call it lunch) with you. Especially if you aren't getting home until close to dinner time.

Buy yourself a good, roomy insulated lunch bag. Pack up some fruit & veggies for the day, along with your lunch/snack and breakfast (if you eat it when you get to work).
  • Penguin -- I'm not a big breakfast person either, but when I was at school last year (therefore only having a microwave and a fridge in my room...) I ALWAYS ate a small yogurt (just a little yoplait one. Usually raspberry) or a small bowl of microwaved oatmeal for breakfast. I found that it really did help. I still have to make an effort to eat in the morning, because it's not first instinct for me, but I keeps me from getting RAVENOUS later in the day

As for the granola bar...maybe try making some fiber-rich (really rich) muffins? I hear there are recipes on the fiber one website?
  • Penguin-
I agree with everyone else is saying about eating breakfast and grabbing something like a yogurt. I used to not eat breakfast but I force myself to have something now. The reason I did not eat breakfast was because I am always rushing out the door, so now I try and give myself a few minutes for breakfast. If I don't have time and I am rushing out the door I grab myself a dannon light and fit yogurt smoothie. They are only 70 calories, and will get your metabolism going.

As for a granola bar I acutally just bought curves granola bars. They are pretty good and I eat them when I am on the move and need a quick snack to tide me over until dinner. They are 100 calories 2.5 or 3 grams of fat (depending on the ones you get) and I think they have 5 grams of fiber!
  • What about a hard boiled egg? I know they are higher in fat/cholesterol, but my doctor actually told me that it's a GOOD cholesterol and that I should be eating a couple a week. They are great for keeping you full!! I eat a cup of frosted mini wheats: 190 cal / 1 g of fat / 6 g fiber / 5 g protein / 180 mg potassium.....and the frosting is a bonus This (along with 1/2 cup of fat free milk and 1/2 a banana) keeps me full until noon-1pm when I eat again. Good luck finding something that works for you!!!
