GUESS WHAT?

I had my WI this morning. dun dun dunnnnn

198.6

which means, I'M FINALLY UNDER 200LBS. I haven't been under 200 in, I don't even know how long. Probably high school, yeah I think 11th grade.

This is definately motivation to keep it going. Only bad thing is Valentines Day...


3 temptations this week:

1. going to mexican restaurant/bowling with TONS of friends (usually beer or margaritas are involved) --keep me strong to say NO!

2. Valentine's Day--Heather is taking me to a really nice steakhouse (I hope they let us split a steak)

3. Saturday, 16th--taking Heather to an overnight trip to a winery. (please don't let me drink too much wine)


I am really hoping I stay on schedule as much as I can. I'm getting nervous.

Hello everyone! I am new to this website. I have registered, but am having a very hard time figuring out how to use the whole website. For example, how did y'all get your weight tracker to show up under your message? Is there a way I can set mine like that? Also, I would like to keep a calorie count. Is there a way to do that on this website or can I only look up the calorie amount and then keep a journal of my own? Please help me. I am so lost.

Congratulations, illbehot!! THat's a great accomplishment - and I'm 1/2 pound away from the 100's myself!! I know how you must feel, and I can't wait to be able to write the first number in my weight as a ONE!

I'm also in NC - near Burlington - where are you? My partner and I are both on this weight loss journey together, and are facing the same upcoming temptations you are....including that special steak dinner out, and our favorite Mexican restaurant, too! If you can limit yourself on the margaritas and chips, you'll be okay! Besides, the bowling will counteract any food intake LOL!

Just think about how well you're doing and how you're at a place you might *never* be again. That'll keep you motivated! And if you can stick to one margarita, go for it (I sure can't do that, LOL) As for the steakhouse, usually they have smaller cuts, you can always ask about that too.

That's awesome! Maybe you can make like a true wine tasted (swirl, smell, sip, spit)... or just exchange "spit" for "really slowly". Pairing a salad with your small serving of steak would probably make it a pretty healthy meal too. Nobody should give up the fine pleasures in life, just gotta reinvent them as better for you options. Great job so far, and I know you'll be fantastic this week while still having an amazing time!

did you know that ONE margarita has 400 calories or more...

I don't think any amount of bowling will counteract that haha!

Thanks for the great info. I am trying to get Heather to get filet because they are less fat and smaller..but she LOVES NY strip....and they are like 14oz..so many we can split it haha

What's your fav Mexican Restaurant? We are going to Monterrey in Btown on Tuesday..like 23 of us! haha...and you know that's dollar margarita night. WOW>
