Scale shopping - please help!
Hi all! So I plan on doing my first at home weigh-in after a week of dieting soon, but I really don't think my scale is all that reliable (its one that the last people to live in our apartment left in the laundry room...) And even if it is accurate, it's really hard to read. I'd like to get a reliable digital scale for *hopefully* less than $25. I found a couple options at wal-mart.com, but they have a lot of mixed customer reviews. The one I was thinking about getting was a very basic digital Taylor brand for about $20. I don't need a lot of fancy features, I just want it to work and be readable!
Does anyone else have a scale of this brand, or can you recommend a brand/model that is accurate AND economical? Thanks! Allison |
Walgreens 10$, top is glass, I have used it for 4 months. I am happy =)

I got a DigiWeigh off ebay for $16.00 incl. shipping. So far it seems pretty reliable. It has a round glass top and a large display. I like it.

I got my THINNER (brand) scale for about $20 from bed bath and beyond. It was about .8lbs off of what the WW scale says when I go into meetings. It worked for three years so far, had a nice big digital display...
If you're unsure how accurate your scale is, and if it reads small weights (some digi ones won't read under 10 or something), find something you know the weight of and see what happens. Hand weights, bags of rice, that sort of thing. :) |
