Hi guys----
I've been using Alli on and off for a couple months now. I can honestly say that there hasn't been any "Explosive" moments... but it definately changes the... hmmm... texture of bowel movements.
The worst problem I had was I was going camping last summer, had taken Alli for a week before, only with dinner... I took the last one the day before we left. I got a whopper and fries on the drive to the campground... and for the next THREE or FOUR days (mind you, not taking Alli at the time) I would have very loose bowels and there would be lots of "oil" floating on the top of the water.
Yucky, I know. But there's no nice way around it.
If I eat a fatty meal, I can definately see the fat floating on top. But, hey, at least I know it's working, right?
If I eat clean and stick to my diet, I don't notice much of a change besides slightly mushier bowel movements.
Plus, before Alli I got a longer warning that a bowel movement is getting close--- now they happen a lot faster and with less warning. Not like I'm gonna poop myself... just a
little less warning. On Alli, even with "slipups" occasionally with my diet, I've never had a bathroom emergency any worse than when I would go to an all-you-can-eat buffet when I'm not dieting and have the after effects after that.
Honestly. If you're going to follow a good diet, why not get an extra 25% of your fat cut out as well? I don't like living on pills or chemicals, so I only use the Alli pill with dinner. Just b/c I don't like the idea of it, but I like the bonus of it.
Oh, and One more thing: I don't ever Fart for fear of something happening. Just to be on the safe side. lol
