Chocolate Challenge

Anyone else have a serious problem with chocolate?

I love milk chocolate! It has always been a problem for me.

Chocolate and Fast Food are my dieting downfalls.

I fixed the Fast Food one, my husband and I have a bet going to see who can last the longest without eating fast food... the winner gets $100 to spend however they want no questions asked.

(If I win... I'm buying this bag http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y40...13rmBPb-PL.jpg )

ANYWAY.

Is there anyone else that has a problem with chocolate? I was thinking we could do something similar... see who can go the longest without it. :m:

Ha, your post inspired me to eat some chocolate. I'm sure that's not what you intended!

My suggestion (if you find that you cannot live without chocolate!)- find the darkest chocolate you can enjoy *I like around 75%* and keep a bar of that on hand- I can never eat more than 1 square! Also, a small cup of really good hot chocolate (I have this fair trade stuff called cocoa camino I think...SO GOOD) can run around 100 cal, and tastes great!

Just sayin' you may not have to give it up forever... :p

oh no!

I'm sorry.

Yeah, that was DEFINITELY not my intention.

Yeah... I'm an all or nothing kind of girl. I really suck at portion control. If I have one I want it all.

I'm having a really hard time not walking into the breakroom right now and not snarfing more chocolate out of the giant basket of Peterbrooke that is sitting there.... calling me.

PJ!

PJ!

HAHA I just went downstairs to get a piece of fudge. Sometimes I think reading these boards initiates my eating! Ill have to restrict myself to reading them once a day before lunch. Anyways, yes I am a chocolate fiend. I live above my cafeteria at school and they have these mini chocolate covered oreos and balls of cookie dough - heaven. I don't see a problem in including it in my diet as long as it is in small doses. Usually when I eat chocolate it makes me full (probably because of the high fat content) so I know its not the best idea but when I do need to have some I just replace it for something else I was going to eat. The best idea if you are really really bad at portion control is probably to keep it out of the house so you can't binge on it. It is best not to deprive yourself of it though because then when you do come in contact with it you won't be able to help from eating it ALLLL.

*fights the urge to run eat chocolate*

I LOVE your fast food bet idea! That's my downfall!

Have you tried "No sugar added" or "Sugar free" fudgecicles? MAN, you get that great chocolate taste and it's much less bad for you lol.

I'm going to have to put a disclaimer on this thread... I so didn't mean to trigger you guys

Yeah... I was battling the idea of getting some chocolate (hence why I opened thread) and now I'm positive I need to sneak at least one teensy bite!

I've found that I feel less guilty when BF and I share a bowl of double churnedfat free/splenda chocolate ice cream from bryers only 90 cals per serving with no fat..... makes me happy :)
