What time is it?

Ok, Amberelise -

This morning I got out of bed at 4:45 to workout! :carrot: My husband even felt guilty for staying in bed, so he got up too! I walked on the treadmill and did a few reps on the butterfly machine. And yes, my back muscles aren't happy with me for scrubbing the floors the other day...

It's a good feeling!

:woops:

Amberelise 10-22-2007 09:37 AM

Congrats wifey!! Keep it up. :)

EDIT: they gave me the night off so I only worked the lunch shift -- I'm heading to the gym!

TODAY (2): elliptical and strength training :-)

It's amazing how much we depend on food -- my boyfriend's dog (from childhood, he had it for about 11 years) just died, and the first thing I said was "Do you want me to make you something special for dinner?"

Interesting...

artsnsmarts 10-22-2007 10:43 PM

blech......went to the gym and made the mistake of looking in the mirror while i was changing into my bathing suit to go into the hot tub. not a good plan.

feeling not so excellent.

Amberelise 10-22-2007 11:24 PM

Haha, well, that's a good motivator to get you to work out at the gym. ;) We all feel that way, don't worry.

15 minutes lifting weights followed by 20 minutes of swimming. That completes day 4 of 30. :)

where do you waitress that they give you 12 hour shifts? or was that an exaduration? i waitress and they only work me like 3 hours at a time...the longest i worked -ever- was one sunday when i was supposed to be a split shift, but i ended up only having 15 mintues between shifts because i got cut really late and my tables camped FOREVER...i thnk i was on my feet for ~10 hours. that night i had knee pain like no other, but it would be nice to be able to get more than a 2 hour shift in at a time...

It's a really busy restaurant, especially at lunchtime. Sometimes when I work a double there's a break in between, but sometimes you have to go straight through.
Sometimes it's no fun, but I like it and the pay is good! Also, when you think about it, it really is great exercise. I mean, I walk basically non-stop the whole time, and I'm carrying heavy trays of drinks and plates of food!

Amberelise 10-23-2007 02:22 PM

I'm debating which exercise to do. Do I want Hatha yoga or stairclimber?

artsnsmarts 10-23-2007 06:26 PM

yoga!!! love it :)

TODAY (3): ballet class, 1 hour

Amberelise 10-24-2007 12:33 AM

Yes! Ballet class. Good job, arts!

I did 30 minutes straight on the stair climber. It was TOUGH. I would have done yoga, but it was happening the same time as biggest loser . . .

Day 5 of 30 complete. :)

artsnsmarts 10-24-2007 01:00 AM

I love watching Biggest Loser while I work out!! I also love yoga just because the feeling of stretching is soooooooo wonderful. Sometimes when I'm bored at home I just stretch because it feels so good....and I stretch every morning in the shower while my conditioner sets!

Amberelise -- 30 MINUTES on the stairclimber??? whoa whoa WHOA!! that's impressive!! congrats!!

Today was actually my first day back at ballet after a spine injury a few months ago...it was really frustrating because I knew how to do everything I just couldn't make my body do it!! But I WILL go back next week. I really did miss dancing :-)

artsnsmarts 10-24-2007 08:19 PM

TODAY (4): not much time to work out, but treadmill for 20 mins. better than nothing, right?

Amberelise 10-25-2007 02:17 AM

If it's more than what you would have done before then it is completely worth it and it counts!

I barely made the exercise in tonight! I've been working on my Halloween costume all night, but popped in my ESPN Bodyshapping Abs video once I cleaned up the arts & crafts mess. *whew*

wifey bullseye 10-25-2007 12:08 PM

yeah so going to the gym...hasnt happened since monday :|

my husband and i "exercising" everynight...i can check off monday, tuesday, and wednesday!

i heard somewhere that that burns a LOT of calories! Haha!

Amberelise 10-25-2007 02:25 PM

fitday.com calculates how many that burns. Personally. . . I think you should try and hit that gym tonight!
