Question about FitDay
I saw that several of you in this forum are keeping a FitDay journal, and I just have a question. On the daily page that pops up when you click on the link to someone's journal, there is a pie chart showing the food and activity for the day. For the calories burned in the activity chart, the number is always a lot higher than your logged activities. Why is this?

It takes into account your basic metabolic rate (the basal section on the chart)-the amount of calories it takes for you to be alive, basically. This is based on your height, weight and age. Also, it takes into account your lifestyle (like if you picked sedentary. This is the lifestyle section of the chart).
Then you add your activities calories and that gives you your total burned calories (this is the activities section of the chart) Personally, I think the basal calories burned are calculated slightly high on fitday, but that's just me... |
I was thinking that they were a bit high as well. Thanks for answering!!
