Inches vs. lbs?

SO.. maybe I don't fully understand what's happening to my body when I lose weight..

According to the scale, I've gained 2 lbs in the last 2 weeks-- but according to my measurements-- I've lost inches everywhere but my neck !! What exactly is going on? Am I gaining but I was bloated last time? Am I losing but retaining water? I'm so confused !

Gaining muscle perhaps?

Scale is being fickle. Scales are like that. It could have to do with how hydrated you are, how much food is still in the digestive process, etc.

I'd go with the muscle theory. Even if you're being slightly more active you could be building.

I've held pretty much steady at the same weight since X-mas. But I've lost enough inches to go down from a size 12 to a size 8. Obvioulsy I could give 2 :censored:s about what the scale says anymore. People think I weigh 20 pounds less than I do, so I ain't complaining. :D

Our bodies are strange things. Is TOM soon? Are you sure that you're measuring the same place that you did before?

Take it as it is, and see what happens at your weigh in next week.

Nope-- TOM is over-- and I made very explicit notes to myself on my measurement chart so I would measure in the same places-- Oh who knows !

I'd say don't worry about what the scale says at this point. You're losing inches and that's great, it'll catch up sooner or later. For me at least, seeing the results in lost inches keeps me a millions times more motivated than the pounds.
