One of those long introductions..

  • Hi everyone

My name is T (plus a few letters) and I'm 23, going to be 24 in a few months. I'm here for the same reasons as the rest of you - I decided that I HAD to change my life and couldn't keep sabotaging myself any longer.

I came down with a nasty cold this March and when I went into the doctor's they weighed me at 243. ACK!! So I headed for the gym, knowing that 243 is just the key to unlocking heart problems, high cholesterol, and diabetes among other things. I didn't really watch what I ate, just kept the portion sizes reasonable. Last week I weighed myself out of sheer curiosity and boredom and was surprised to see that I was down 10lbs. I figured if I could do that in 2 months with just going to the gym then surely I could accomplish more by changing my whole lifestyle.

So I'm 2 days into a new diet (Fat Smash Diet), and determined to stay afloat. I'm glad they have a 20 somethings forum here because I have NEVER had friends who weren't as skinny as toothpicks, which meant no one who really understood what it was like to struggle this way.

Anyway! If anyone is interested in e-mailing or blogging, just let me know.. I'm always up for talking with new people.
