I weighed, and I think my scale is broken. lmao. There's no way that I could have gained THAT much. I'm embarrassed to even say it. ;X YIKES! :(

Way to go Muzikjunky!!! You will be my inspiration. I am on Day 1 of the third time I have tried to stop smoking. I am in AGONY. I WANT TO SMOKE SO BAD RIGHT NOW. Please tell me it will get better. It's always so much worse for me after meals. I smoked a little in highschool, but really picked it up once I started college (that's how us art majors make friends lol) I would only smoke maybe 5 a day..But I have realized I am smoking more than half a pack a day now!! That is totally unacceptable to me. Interesting sidenote **I have had two doctors tell me that smoking 5 or less cigarettes a day most likely won't hurt you, that it is equal to the polution you would inhale in a day anyway. One of these doctors smoked, one didn't.**
I don't know if I just want to wean myself back down to 3-5 a day, or totally quit. I have noticed changes in my breathing and amount of coughing now that I smoke so much. I am bad about smoking more when I am bored or when I am on a long drive. I am scared that if I have them around me at all I would relapse into smoking so much again, so that's why I think I want to quit entirely. |

I quit about a year ago, and it was very hard for me...I did manage to quit cold turkey! The only thing that I did, was drink tons of water....It worked! After I quit I turned to food, because it tasted alot better, I gained 20lbs. in the one year after I quit...Please don't do what I did!!!

I would think that the experience of quitting is different for everyone. The chart that someone showed me earlier on was true. The third day & the seventh day are HORRIBLE. But, after the 7th day..it starts to get a bit easier. I am still having cravings at times, and honestly..I have thought about starting back up so I don't gain more weight..but..I haven't. Sadly..I have gained probably 10-15 lbs. Partly because I can't exercise because of my back. Going to see an Orthopedic DR on the 28th. And also, I've been stuffing my face with the worst food imaginable. :(
