Do you see yourself differently?
 

Sometimes when I look in the mirror, I think "Hmm, I dont look as bad as I thought" But then today I took pictures of myself to see the difference in weight loss and I look TERRIBLE! What is it about pictures that make me realize how absolutely awful I look at this weight? I remember over a year ago, I loved taking pictures and now I just avoid the camera like the plague. Bleh, am I crazy or what?

Nope. Not crazy at all. I thought I looked just fine until I went out for my B-Day with some friends and we took pictures..I looked like I was 3x's there size LOL.

I have not a picture of me in it from Senior Year of college when I was at my heaviest. To be honest, I don't even have the graduation photos out. I wasn't a happy person at that point in my life, I don't need memories of forced smiles staring me in the face every day. :(

One word: YEP! I definitely think that I look 1000x better in the mirror than in pictures.

ME TOO!! I hate that.. I like the way I look in the mirror...

Same here!!! I like my face in the mirror but the rest of me is awful!!

:lol: I never look the same on pictures and in the mirror. Somehow I wonder if it is because pictures necessarily flattens the image, while at least in the mirror we still somehow see in 3D. But that's just a silly theory, I think.

I totally agre with you, I just knew that even though i was sooo big, i still knew if was pretty in the face, but boy, when i would see pics of myself it was nothing like what i was seein in the mirror. But I have come to believe that the way we look in pics, thats really how other people see us. and im not talkin about magazine pics im talkin about regular old kodak!!! But since I have been loosing weight My face is soooo much smaller which i can wait to see more of my cheek bones, but before my face was sooooooooooooooo huge compared to everyone else in the pic with me!!!

I have never been at goal weight or close, but I have this issue now- I'll even try to stand in front of the mirror and hold the camera at the same distance and level, then when it comes out SO DIFFERENT I have to gather myself and try not to get too frustrated ;)
