I know what you mean. Exams have a way of making food gravitate to my mouth. Especially chocolate.

I was sweeping my bathroom floor the other day, and I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and I actually saw that my face had slimmed down, and how much better I'm looking. I thought I'd have to lose at least twenty pounds (246 was my heaviest, but that was last summer, and when I started WW in mid April, I weighed 239). I'm so happy that I can already see a difference after six and a half pounds, it makes me wicked excited to see what I'll look like after 40 pounds, never mind at goal!

I debated all the way to the grocery store whether I would allow myself to get one of my trigger foods and also a dessert for a dinner I'm having at my house tomorrow. I couldnt find the trigger food so that settled that but I puposely didnt look hard. Then I picked up a dessert, had it in my cart, went around the store then put it back. I decided everyone can have fruit and I realized I have some low cal jello that I made. I promised myself I wouldnt buy any treats until June so I'm sticking to it. I was really proud of myself for not giving up on my plan.

I have been working to lose weight since January, but in the last month and a half I bought an exercise DVD, One Minute Workouts with Minna Lessig. With the help of having less pudge, I now can flex my arms and see real muscle! My boyfriend was so impressed he was saying he would have to start working out just to keep up!

Hi, I'm new here but not to 3FC - I'm over with the CCers most of the time.

This is such a great thread. I just finished reading everyone NSVs and now I have this big goofy grin on my face.

I wanted to put my favorite NSV so far. I can now bound up our 2 flights of stairs and not get winded, whereas before, just plodding up them made me tired. Every time I have to go upstairs I jog them, because when I get to the top I'm unaffected, and that makes me feel so good! And this is only over about a month's time.

My equally favorite NSV is that I have so much more energy and motivation, I take my toddler and babies out most days to the park, downtown, etc when I usually would just hang out (okay, let's be realistic - hide) at home.

Last night we all went to a hispanic street festival, and had so much fun. Two months ago I would have felt so embarassed and ashamed about myself that I would have kept us at home. My 13 pounds may not be a big number, but it has made a dramatic difference to me.

CJC, congratulations on all your hard work. It is nice to see that it is making such a positive difference in your life. I'm sure your kids love getting to go out more too.

I went out for a friends birthday last night and I guess I had a few NSV's, firstly a friend who I haven't seen in a couple of months was adamant that I looked like I've lost loads of weight, even though it's only been a few lbs. Also, I didn't over-do the alcohol AND I managed to resist eating bar snacks (which I often end up doing when I've had a couple of drinks!). I don't think I've ever really had NSV's worth telling other people about, but today it feels good to reflect on them

Morning!

I have one SV -- I'm more than halfway to goal, now, and out of the 150s FOREVER!!

I also have some NSVs:
1. I lost 6" this week
2. I went to dinner at my parents' place last night and my mom was trying to guilt me into eating things that are NOT on my plan (Phase I South Beach) -- garlic bread, potatoes, strawberry shortcake -- and I stayed true to my plan! Didn't even have the tiniest morsel of anything not allowed!
3. The BF grabbed a cheeseburger at McDonald's and ate it in front of me and I wasn't even tempted!
4. I stayed OP all week last week, so now I get to buy myself new running shoes!

Great to hear about everyone's NSVs!

I have a pair of jeans that I bought winter 2006. They were size 13 and fit me nicely. By winter 2007 I couldn't even pull them all the way up. Last night I realized they fit me so loosely I could pull them down without even undoing the button! I haven't bought any jeans under size 12 since Jr. High, but I will have to soon!

My NSV for today is that I ran in the rain and wind! Usually if it's less than perfect outside I make some excuse to not do it, so that was great! Even shaved a minute off my time (I'm DREADFULLY slow, though).
