Do you have a state ID? They let me in with just my Driver's License and he has to sign me in. He's in the Navy as well and I can't wait for him to get out.
The only perk to him being in for 10 yrs is the commissary! LOL

I have my Permit, which is also a state ID. I just need to have it and be with him in order to get let in

What are your 2 staple meals and how large is your freezer??

I have a small freezer.. it's fun when I do my cooking and we go grocery shopping around the same time, because it can be an adventure fitting everything it! We always manage somehow though... my two recipes are a Spinich-Feta bake and a low-cal Chicken Soup (freezing soup, in case you've never done it, can also be an adventure lol!) Both have around 130-150 cal a serving, and they are really good! If either of them sound like something you want to try, let me know and I can PM you the recipes and nutrition info. :)

Of course I want the recipes!!
I am a recipe hound I love to cook!!
Yeah they always tell me that too about not being able to buy so I make sure and hand him cash right in front of them...lol.
How do you PM on here? Do you have to have MSN? I have a yahoo account.

Which kind of ticked me off, but oh well. It is a great thing.. my mom wants to go grocery shopping with us when she finally can come visit

Yes, technically if you are not a dependant you should not be buying anything at the military commissary. Its the whole rights and privliges thing. Be careful that no one sees you giving your bf money for your groceries or they could report you guys and he could lose his privliges also. If I were you I also would not advertise that you do that..

Anyway..To answer the OP... It is just Dh and I and we spend about $100 for about 1.5 weeks of groceries. When I was single I spent about $30-$40/week on groceries. I was a coupon person. Clipping the coupons..now you can even print them online too. I always watched for deals on things I bought all the time. I didn't have a big storage area for food and such though so I couldn't buy in bulk. Quite honestly I shopped at Super Walmart a lot when I was single..They had the best prices. It is quite do-able to spend less money if you truly want to. :-)
