26 and time for a change

Hello everyone!
I am a 26 soon to be 27 year old momma of 2 boys....I cannot blame this weight on them because I was skinnier than I was in high school after my second one I was eating healthier and excercising more than ever and down to a size 12-14 depended on brands....now I am a solid size 20 and weighing in at 250 People always tell me how beautiful I am and that doesnt help matters. I want to lose this weight for my health....I find that I eat when I am depressed or bored, and most of the time I dont eat the right things. I have reasonable goals- the small goal right now is to drop two pant sizes (which would put me at a 16) by July that is almost 6 mos away. I know I can do it but I need some motivation from people who know what it is like. I am attaching a picture of me now.... I hope I did it right...I would love some buddies to INSPIRE and MOTIVATE me....we could even set workouts together and talk afterwards....:) PLEASE IM me if you are interested!!!! Hi racergirl -- welcome! You ARE a beautiful woman! Congrats on finding 3FC, it's a big help to have such an extensive support network.
Pretty much everyone's with you on the bored/depressed/stressed eating pattern. If you need to vent about something related to that, you'll get lots of understanding from us! Anyway, look forward to seeing you around the boards... if you have questions, just ask! |

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome ...well we are at day 2 of my change and my abs are killing me from yesterdays workout...but I am going to work out again....my goal at least an hour every day...of some sort of excercise...whether it be walking the dog, playing with kids, whatever...I have been wondering what a good video is...if anyone has suggestions please tell me.

Walk Away the Pounds (WATP) is a good workout. I've heard good things about TurboJam, and I'm looking into getting a DDR setup to work out with. What kind of exercise are you interested in doing? Dance-y? Simple? High-intensity? Figure out what you want first, then go jump onto Amazon.com and browse their workout DVDs. There's tons of stuff out there; you just have to find what sounds good to you!
