New Year Resolution

Happy New Year!

I’ve been away for a week or so but I don’t think this has been posted in the 20-something forum (I’ve seen them on other forums but not this one). I thought it would be good for us to post our New Year Resolution – Both weight and non-weight related.

* Keep eating healthy.
* Study More.
* Put my dishes in the dishwasher when I get them dirty and not let them pile up in my sink.
* Stay organized!
* Stick to my budget!

Hello all you twenty-somethings out there. I am 20 years old and my resolution is to finally take the rest of this weight off. I started losing weight in August and was successful for about a month, got frustrated when I plateued and gave up. It is not going to happen this time. I have to lose this weight. I want to be healthy and happy and have a prolonged life. Good luck to everyone making this journey!

I want to get down to my goal weight, and pay off my debts. Want to keep it short & simple this year because in the past I tried to do TOO much, and couldn't stick with it. :)

I've got a few:

*FINALLY get to my goal weight (been the same weight for 6 months)
*Exercise consistently and more importantly, purposefully
*Seek professional help with my body image/self esteem/food issues
*Put away $750 a month away in savings
*Pay off student loan/credit card
*MAKE and STAY on a budget (meaning staying in CONTROL with my spending habits)
*Buy my first brand new car (Not really a resolution -- it will be happening next weekend indefinitely! :carrot:). But the resolution part is get a good, dependable one for a reasonable price, not a fast, shiny, show-offy one
*Begin working on a big writing project (stage or screenplay)
*Sleep normally on the weekdays so I don't oversleep on the weekends
*Smile and laugh as much as possible

I think that's about it! I WILL get to my goal weight this year!! I don't even have a lot of extra time any more TO eat, AND I have no excuse not to exercise, because I'm allowed to AT WORK.

Good luck everyone!! :D

  • I want to use my full potential. I must stop being too lazy. Heehee.
  • Exercise everday! :carrot:
  • Eat healthy food. Ban cookies! Ban chips!
  • Walk my dogs at least 4 times a week.

I know it's ambitious but I'd really like to be at my goal weight by my 21st birthday on September 8th. Ok, "really like" is an understatement. I'd be so freakin' happy. Deliriously happy.

A friend of mine is getting married in June, and there's a certain super cute size 14 dress hanging in my closet that I'd like to wear. But hey, if I'm too small for it, I won't be too disapointed ;) Have enough nerve to hit on the super-cute best-man. Or any of the other super-cute friends of the groom.

I'd also like to complete the C25k workout and run a 5k in 2007.

Non-weight related goals? Learn how to knit cables and weave. Better my crochet skills. Finish that freakin' sweater that I've been working on for 3 years!! Also throw an amazing 21st birthday party and have enough nerve to plant a big kiss on a guy I've had a little crush on since the 2nd grade. (I know having a crush on someone that long and never saying anything is a little pathetic, but... He's one of those. You know, the good guys.)
