12/25-12/31 Weekly Chat!

Ok last chat thread of the year of 2006

What is your new years goal?

amb_lyn 12-27-2006 03:17 PM

I Don't ever stick to my resolutions..always the same, lose weight, etc etc..

2006 has been different though.. I really did lose weight, learned to eat healthier.. I'd like for 2007 to finish my weight loss, continue to maintain and continue to eat the right way. I guess add exercise to my goals, I soooo lack in that dept...

Canadian_Mickey 12-27-2006 03:34 PM

Well, this Christmas I did pretty well.... I haven't gained anything yet, which is good...but I need to lose some. Not alot though. I really need to get back to exercising regularly again....or find a type that I enjoy doing! That's my 2007 resolution.

junebug41 12-27-2006 03:44 PM

I want to graduate from college and run a 5k this year! I started running this year and maintained and I am happy about that.

thintowin 12-27-2006 03:45 PM

I am going to quit smoking! I've actually already started this goal, and I don't like to call it a new year's resolution. It's just a goal to me, LOL.

I'm not a heavy smoker, my first cigarette of the day is when I drive home from work at 4:30 or later when I have to go to the gym late. I always feel so guilty lighting up after a good workout. It's more habit than an addiction, so I'm hoping that it won't be too difficult.

If I ever feel urges to smoke, I'm going to do a mini workout and drink a glass of water. We'll see if that works!

baimak 12-27-2006 03:50 PM

I would like to go from 168 to 135 by my first wedding anniversary....If I could just last for more then one day, Id be set... Good luck to everyone

illinichick 12-27-2006 06:42 PM

I want to become a spinning instructor. And, I want to become a better cook.

FaeReverie 12-28-2006 10:18 AM

Whew! Disappearing for the holidays.. *G*. Dont worry, I'm here.

My goal? Reach 140 lbs. Be able to touch my toes without bending my knees. Maybe work myself up to being able to run marathons, I've always wanted to try it. *G*

spillthebeans 12-28-2006 10:30 AM

I want to continue to do some type of workout at least 5-6 times a week. I want to be a healthy mom and not have to lose a whole bunch after giving birth. I want to gain a healthy amount during my pregnancy.

After the birth, I plan on getting back on track with a strict diet and workout plan to get back to my pre prego body, maybe even look better than I did.

This past year was a one of my best years of Health! I now know my body better than ever. I know what I can eat, and I continue to buy the right healthy foods at the store. I manage to workout at least 3-5 times a week. I have learned even if I have an off week, I can always just start right back at getting my butt to the gym and eating right again. I feel more in control of the decisions I make concerning food and exercise.

I actually ran 5K this year a couple times a week. It was a great workout and I felt really proud of myself. I look forward to running again after the baby.

To 2007! a year of new!

Please take me back lol. Ok hopefully back to stay. Work is settled. Life is settled. Move is settled. So strange to be back in a routine! How's life been going here on 3fc?

illinichick 12-28-2006 10:43 PM

hey stephie! I'm glad things have settled down for you. You know we'd never abandon you!

muzikjunky 12-28-2006 11:15 PM

I am going to get down to 145-150, and pay off my medical bills. Things are a bit stressful in my life right now with work, and what not - So, I don't think I could quit smoking at this moment in time. Maybe when I reach my weight goal, I will tackle the bad habit of smoking. :)

ljd 12-29-2006 01:09 AM

Hi everyone! This is my first foray into the weekly chat thread!

I would like to get to my goal weight in March/April or so and be maintaining by the time my big 25 comes around in May. I might even drop my goal some more because I'm about 15 pounds from it, and I don't think that that will be enough for my frame. So I'm considering maybe 125.

In these weekly chat threads, do we stay on the topic question?

here's to a good 2007!

spillthebeans 12-29-2006 10:46 AM

welcome back stephie! your always a part of our group! You can run, but you can't hide! well, you could, but glad your back!

Hi Illnichick!

:welcome: Brooke & ljd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stephanie Osborne 12-31-2006 01:21 PM

Well its the big new years rockin eve, everyone got their resolutions ready? Here are a couple of mine:

1. See how long I can go without dessert in '07 (personal challenge)
2. Drink my water
3. Stop relying on material things to make me feel good about myself.
4. Become more dedicated to the things that matter most to me.

So what does everyone have in store for tonight?

Illinichick - Ahhhh what a sweety! Thanks.

muzikjunky - Oohh quitting smoking it a hige challenge, way to go not just giving up though. You are right you need to set yourself up for success by making sure it is the right time to tackle it. Just don't put it off forever...

ljd - No topic question here just whatever you would like to talk about. Welcome !

spill - Hey girly, miss me? I hope to be 'running' again soon lol. How have things been?
