kim - hope everything turns out well! I am sorry you are having to deal with so much right now. Take care of yourself!! Jennie - I am also focusing a lot more now on my food (the quality and cleanness of it) and my exercise. I still have a good bit to go on the weight loss but with as quick as it has come off, I've found myself in the place where I really need to focus on long term goals with food and exercise sooner than I thought I would have to. Kim - Sounds like you're going through a really rough patch...props to you for keeping up your diet though and not goign to pieces! :) hope the problems with your intestines isn't too serious and gets sorted soon! Jennie - you are SO freaking close! Such an inspiration! :) Peanut - re: your Monday question. I'm in the exact same way! This challenge has helped me get back to where I was before the Christmas holidays, but now I need to knuckle down and get serious about it for the next one. I've been on this plateau for way too long! Only way to go is down :) I'm very happy with how everything's going right now :) We had our first day of rehearsals for the show on Tuesday and I abso-freaking-lutely loved it. We basically spent the entire morning and afternoon session dancing and learning the choreography sequence for the opening number (which includes me being lifted in the air by two guys - another good reason to lose the weight!!!), so lots of exercise there! I also decided to start calorie-counting again, as that's what kept me on track over the summer when I first started losing. I joined My Fitness Pal as I love how extensive their food database is and the fact that includes how much protein/carbs/fat is in them and you can count those as well :) I've started on a 1200 calorie allowance and have so far managed to stay just beneath that number, same as with my carb count, and have gone over my protein (which is what I was aiming for). I like that I can let myself have treats (had a small bag of maltesers this morning between lectures) and just count it in and then have soup and vegetables for dinner to make up for it! :) Also massively proud of myself for yesterday. I went to dinner at Nando's and then to watch The Black Swan with my friends at the cinema. I looked up the Nando's menu online and decided I didnt have enough calories for any of it, so ate a load of veggies at home and just had diet coke at the restaurant. I didn't even steal a chip (french fry) off my friends! And I didnt get popcorn or sweets at the cinema!!!!! I'm taking it as a postive sign that I CAN DO THIS. I have never wanted anything so much in my life right now and I am losing this weight once and for good! Hope everyone's having a good week! :) |

Havent been posting much but I am still very much in this challenge!! I hit a new low this week and wi at 220.0 the two teens are coming and I cant wait. Ive been working so hard. I hope you are all well. My busy life doesnt permitt many personals but team we can do it!!! |

I did that with fruits for two months last fall, and discovered that I love a lot of different apples other then granny smiths! oOPeanutOo~ Any plans on how you'll help yourself knuckle down for the next challenge? So the Drs. have no idea what's going on now. I had my pre-op yesterday and after they did some more x-rays and an MRI, they discovered that the tumor has disappeared. Sooooo, I had to go to the big hospital in VT and have a full body scan in which I won't get the results back from until sometimes next week. At least this means I won't be spending my vacation recovering from surgery, although now I feel like I'm totally clueless as to what is going on... UGH I'm headed to my sisters for the weekend, but I will try to get on Sunday before weigh ins are due! |

Thanks, Kim! That may be short lived.. haha! I am not hoping for much this week... TOM :(. I can't believe we have already made it through another challenge!! I can't even remember how many I have participated in now... Thanks so much for keeping them going!!! ps. good news on them not seeing a tumor!! I will be praying for good news for you!

Kim – Disappeared? Hopefully it was just a misdiagnosis on the Tumour front. At least that’s what I’ll cross my fingers for! When you say vacation, does this mean from just your school job or everything?
Southernbelle – I don’t think even TOM can stop you from losing weight!! You’ve got it down pat :) Ummm, next challenge I’m definitely going to go back to tracking absolutely everything. I’m also hoping to get back on a regular sleeping schedule and that should help with the need for a late night chocolate fix! Hopefully I’ll end up on the same team as some of you girls next time around :) |

Peanut - Thanks for the vote of confidence!! I have lost 1 lb so far this week... as of Saturday. We will see what tomorrow brings at my weigh in :) I would be happy with any loss since it is TOM though... so 1 lb is A ok with me if it doesn't continue to go down :)
I know, I hope to see lots of familiar faces the next go round. I find it very motivating to keep up with some of the same people challenge after challenge! :D If we aren't on the same team next time and don't get to follow each other's progress ... good luck with your weight loss journey!! |
Can't believe it's the last day of the challenge!!!! :D this is definitely the first one where I've kept up with the chat thread and it's been great getting to know all you ladies! fingers crossed I'll see lots of you around in the next challenge!

Get some kind of order back into my life :) Matilda - WELL DONE!!! :D so happy for you!!! Calorie-counting is going good. I've been on track every day except Friday when I went completely insane. That's the only way I can describe the amount of junk I let pass my lips!!! We had a girly night-in/sleepover at my friend's and just ate and ate and ATE. Pizza, chips, chocolate, crisps, chicken nuggets, popcorn...absolutely ridiculous. But we had an amazing night and I ate soup, vegetables and an apple yesterday and walked for 2h, so I think I counteracted it OK. I woke up feeling really ill as well which hopefully will put me off enxt time I decide to do something as silly as that! I can't wait til next Challenge! congrats to all of you, WE'RE ALL LOSERS!!! :) |
Sorry I have been so absent from this chat thread recently...it's been a REALLY busy week. Congrats to my whole team, you did excellently! I'm excited because I finished my first challenge!
