Default Wiggin'

Okay, I have been with LAWL for 7 months and have lost an average of 5 lbs a month. I am a slow poke... but it seems I am losing quite a bit of hair daily. Some people say its the diet or even the soy bars? Any thoughts on my problem and should I be wiggin?

I remember a while back someone mentioning they were losing more hair too. I honestly don't see how it can be the diet, because it's really not a diet, it's eating healthier, which you can do for the rest of your life. If it's the lites, then maybe go to your doctor and get tested for a soy allergy. I have very fine and thin hair anyway, been doing this lifestyle for 2 years come next week and I haven't had any problems whatsoever from it. You could also be missing out on some vital nutrients which a simple blood test will show you.

Tinkertoy-

The first time I was on LAWL I lost a considerable amount of hair. I was told it has to do with fat intake.... if you're not getting enough, which I definitely wasn't. I was also going through a stressful breakup then, but my mom was losing hair too...

To be safe, I'd see your doctor too!

My hairdresser told me that too little fat and or protein can make your hair fall out. Fat isnt all bad, we need some in our diet. Just an FYI.

Tinkertoy,

Have you ever had your thyroid checked? Hypothyroidism, or an underactive thyroid, can not only make you lose your hair when not treated but also make it more difficult to lose weight.

wow this is interesting....my hair was falling out a TON from Oct-Dec. My hairdresser told me we all have a natural shedding process and she wasn't concerned about it. It was also an extremely stressful time for me with lots of finals and trials etc. Since it's improved I think it was a combo of the season changing and stress. Let us know if you talk to your doc!

I'd never heard about the fat/protein/thyroid theories....interesting
