My knee is recovered, and I'm back in.

So far:
1/1 - 6 mile hike (3 miles uphill, 3 miles back)
1/2 (planned) - 1 hour on the stairclimber

So glad your knee is better. I know it has been a tough time for you. Wow 3 miles uphill both ways lol. You are one tough lady.

teacher
I am with you. Never cared to exercise much. In the last few months I have found I love it. I do walking/aerobic videos everyday. Leslie and I are best friends lol.

Yay! I am glad to see this thread come back to life. I didn't make them anymore because people stopped posting in them and I was all alone, lol!

Today I did 1 hour of cardio and some strength training and stretching.

Amanda, I am glad your knee is finally healed.

When I am not lurking , I have given myself a reputation for being a windy, wordy, woman. So please forgive this first post. I can't write a goal without a plan. So after the plan is planned I will be able to pop on and be to the point.

Bottom line... My bottom's on the line! I lost a lot of poundage last year. YaY me!! I am within spitting distance of where I want to be. The only thing that will get me there is the one thing thats elluded me ... Consistant Exercise. Dabbling doesn't get er' done. Unfortunately.

But this year, with this thread, and you ladies, I am going to make a concious committment to consistancy in the exercise area! 2008 I am going to change my shape!!

Here's the plan and what I previously apologized for...

I've been talkin about walkin Bosko ( the adorable mutt in my avi ) and retraining him since I've gotten back to Austria. Teaching us both to run. Him not to run off. I have yet to take that dog out of this house once! Okay I did take him once but my husband was with me. I wanted to see how well he listened and was disappointed. Seems Bosko and I are simular in the disipline department. I'm no better. I have only been out twice myself. In this beautiful hilly, mountainous terrain... An aside here: I can make it from my door, down the "Dreaded Hill" With 69 stairs and an incline to kill, around the Gast haus ( restaraunt )parking lot and back to my door in 11 minutes!! Not to shabby there eh. Anyhoo, hence the training for both me and the dog. In my minds eye I see it going like this...

1) Do my just for me 11 minute get back and get everybody going for the day...

2) A just for Bosko walk. No time limit leisurely stroll allowing him to sniff and snort happily.

3) Bosko/Barbi training time. I have treats in my hand and teach him to heel better. We walk for a bit, run for a bit, walk, run, walk, run, treat treat treat.

It looks fabulous on paper!!

The first one I would like to do at 5:30 am. <~~ Major morning person here...That gives me plenty of time to get it done and get back to get the gang up by 6am. Even taking progression into account, me going faster or making it more challenging in time. I would still have enough time to get out and back.

Lets see now, everyone is out of the house by 7:15 am... So why cant I take Bosko at 8 or 9 am? Because I dread his lack of disipline? ~nods lots~ Okies writing helps... I will combine walks 2 & 3. Until we are both better at this. The first half will be teach n treat time. The second half will be see what we learned and re-enforce. Good idea me! We'll add this run thing later... Lets first get out of the house.

Fruits n Veg? Eh.... I have no problems eating. Its choosing wisely. Today I choose to make it a priority that I get 3 in before noon. Ensuring that by dinner time I will have 5 plus. Smile

New rules:

3 before noon!

3 half litres of water a day. (that may be ammended when I convert ounces to equal. )

3 - 30 minutes moving time. Total 90 minutes. Either combined.. ooOOOoo

My 11 mighty minutes will be stretched to 15 minutes. Instead of turning around at the Gast house I will go the bridge and do 3 sets of 10 push ups and dips against the rail! YaY me! I'm a genious!! Mini upper work out with a major lower! WOOT!!

Then the Teach & Treat. Lasting 60 minutes.

Ending my day with another "mighty minute" routine. Either in the afternoon or after dinner!

My goodness I am a Brilliant woman! I really need to spend more time with me!

So it is written ladies.....

Did my 60 min on the stairclimber. Not sure if I'll have time to do some strength this evening (my meeting schedule got OUT OF HAND) but will try. If not, it'll move to tomorrow.
