Welcome, Karen -- sounds like a great plan. I agree -- it's easier to break it down into something manageable. I used to sniff at losing "only" a pound a week. Then I realized that if I woke up tomorrow weighing 52 pounds lighter (a year's worth of pound-a-week-losses), that would probably be okay
Actually, if I'd lost a pound a MONTH every month over the past ten years, I'd be thin now. This time, I'm going for changing habits, getting healthy -- and being happy that weight is coming off, too.
