Okay, here's the scoop. I was called into the human resource managers office today before leaving. She remembered that I had wanted to put in for the area sales manager position, which she said was still do-able; however, she had 2 more options that might be better for me.
1) Become the Administrative Assistant for the reginal manager. I could do this and do it well, however I may not be happy with it.
2) Apply for a position in a Management training program. This would make me a assistant store manager. I would be in charge of several departments and would put me on the fast track to store management.
After thinking it through, I decided to go with option 2, mainly because if I continued with my original thinking it would take me a longer amount of time to get where I want to be. It would be a huge pay raise, and I would be able to be on my own. (This is not solely why I am choosing this)
Anyways thats my good news.
